Objection!

A creepy Suffolk County judge was thrown behind bars Thursday after he broke into a young neighbor’s home in a bizarre panty raid, police said.

When Judge Robert Cicale, 49, was apprehended two blocks away, he had the illegal briefs on him, Suffolk County Police Department Acting Police Commissioner Stuart Cameron said.

“We don’t know if (the underwear) was taken during this incident or a prior incident at the home,” Cameron said.

Cops were called to a Donna Place address near Quintuck Lane about 9 a.m. — after the 23-year-old victim heard a noise, saw a man in her home and called 911.

The intruder ran out as soon as he realized he wasn’t alone, police said.

Suffolk County officers found the criminal court judge on Rosemary Place — about two blocks away.

“(Cicale) fit the description given to us by the neighbor,” Cameron said.

Suffolk County police charged him with burglary. He will be held overnight and is expected to be arraigned Friday.

A man who answered the young woman’s door declined to comment saying, “We're just trying to figure it out.”

Cicale also lives on Donna Place.

One neighbor knew him as a “family man” who lived on the block for a decade.

“No way, no way,” Jay Moceri, a 42-year-old construction worker said. “He's always out there playing basketball with his kids and seems to be a good family man.”

He described the allegations as “something definitely out of character.”

Cicale, a Republican, was elected to the bench in 2015. He had been East Islip’s town attorney since 2012.

The St. John’s University Law School alumnus was also a member of the Legal Aid Society following his graduation in 1993 through 1998, according to his election biography.

Wife: Husband thought he no longer was a wanted man in Iowa
PAUL DAVENPORT,Associated Press 3 hours ago

This Tuesday, March 27, 2018, photo released by the Prescott Valley Police Department shows suspect Charles Chuck Leroy Cagley. Virginia Cagley, the wife of the Arizona man arrested because he walked away while serving an Iowa prison term 37 years ago, said they thought he was in the clear legally. Virginia Cagley said it was a shock when police arrived at the couple's door in Prescott Valley because Charles "Chuck" Leroy Cagley began using his own name a decade ago after being told an arrest warrant had been dismissed. (Prescott Valley Police Department via AP)
PHOENIX (AP) — An Arizona woman says her husband believed he was in the clear after escaping from an Iowa prison 37 years ago and they were both shocked when authorities arrested him earlier this week.

When police arrived at the couple's door in Prescott Valley, Charles "Chuck" Leroy Cagley had been using his own name for over a decade after being told an arrest warrant had been dismissed, Virginia Cagley said Friday.

"We're fighting this," she said during a telephone interview with The Associated Press. "He's never been in any trouble since that time period."

Prescott Valley police detectives arrested Cagley on Tuesday on an active felony extraditable warrant after the FBI notified the department that Cagley lived in Prescott Valley, the department said in a statement.

Virginia Cagley said an Iowa prison warden wrote a 2006 letter saying the 1981 warrant for Cagley's arrest had been withdrawn and that Iowa no longer wanted him back in custody. The warden wrote the letter to the Department of Veteran Affairs after Cagley, a Vietnam veteran, applied for benefits but was told there was a warrant out for him, she said.

Iowa Department of Corrections spokesman Cord Overton said department officials are consulting with the state attorney general's office to determine the status of any warrants for Cagley and what prison time is left to be served.

"We are going to be consulting with our legal counsel to make sure whatever happens next is the most appropriate course of action," Overton said. "We want to be sure we get it right."

Overton said electronic records contain little information about Cagley's escape from the Newton Correctional Facility or his current status and that latest information indicates an escape warrant was requested Feb. 16, 1981.

Cagley had entered the prison system in 1978 to serve a sentence of 10 years, less time for good behavior, on his conviction in Woodbury County, according to Overton and Cagley's online profile on the department's website .

Prescott Valley, a city of 43,000, is 82 miles (132 kilometers) north of Phoenix.

The department's statement said Cagley had been living in the area since 2004 and that detectives who arrested Cagley based on the FBI notification confirmed there was an active warrant for him.

The warrant was dated in January 2018 and "was a re-issue for some reason," police spokesman Jerry Ferguson said.

Virginia Cagley said her husband fled prison because he'd been threatened by other inmates who wanted him to smuggle marijuana into the prison and because somebody tried to break into her trailer. "We were in fear for our lives so we ran."

The couple had been together since before the escape but didn't get married until 2012, after their adult children began getting married, she said.

The family had a private investigator in Iowa research Cagley's status in 2005, the wife said. "He said everything had been dropped."

After using a false name since his escape, Cagley began using his real name and used it in 2005 to get an Arizona driver's license, she said. "And nothing shows up."

Then in 2006, his escape warrant was flagged when he applied for VA benefits, which led to the warden's letter saying Cagley wasn't a wanted man, she said. "That's how we had to clear it up that time."

Virginia Cagley said she's wants to talk to her husband about getting an attorney.

"If this is a false arrest we're going to sue," she said.

Man Accused of Killing Teen Couple, Dumping Bodies in Mine Allegedly Admits to Making Boy 'Suffer'

U.S. Utah

Updated | A Utah man was accused of killing a young couple and dumping their bodies down a mine.

Jerrod William Baum, 41, faces murder charges in the deaths of 18-year-old Riley Powell and 17-year-old Brelynne “Breezy” Otteson. Family members said the teenage couple was last seen in Mammoth, Utah, on December 30, 2017. They were reported missing on January 2.

Court documents released this week shed light on the timeline of the events leading up to the deaths of Powell and Otteson. The documents also included a statement Baum allegedly made about making Powell "suffer" but allowing Otteson to die quickly.

Jerrod William Baum has been charged in connection to the murder of two Utah teens. Baum is being held without bail at Utah County Jail. Utah County Sheriff's Office

Baum was reportedly upset that the couple had visited his girlfriend, 34-year-old Morgan Lewis Henderson, when he was not there.

The Juab County man allegedly told Henderson that it was “too bad” he had to kill the two teens. Henderson said her boyfriend did not want her to have male friends, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.

Baum and Henderson were first questioned by police on January 9, when they told investigators that they heard a rumor Powell had gotten into a fight with another man on New Year's Eve. Henderson told police a full account of what allegedly occurred on Sunday.

According to court documents, Powell and Henderson exchanged messages on Facebook and agreed to meet at the home she shared with Baum and his father in Mammoth, south of Eureka, on December 29 around 11 p.m.

Henderson said the couple arrived shortly before midnight, hung out and smoked marijuana for about 40 minutes before leaving. The woman told police that in the early morning hours of December 30, Baum led her outside of their home where Powell and Otteson were tied in the back of Powell’s Jeep.

Baum allegedly told them they were going to go for a ride to talk. However, Henderson said Baum drove to the Lily Creek mine area in Eureka, where he killed the couple with a knife. He then threw their bodies down an abandoned Tintic No. 2 Standard mine, Henderson said.

Their bodies were recovered on Wednesday and transported to the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office to confirm their identities and causes of death, KSL-TV reported.

A police affidavit said Otteson’s body was found with her hands tied behind her back. Powell, meanwhile, “appeared to have multiple knife wounds as well, and his hands were also bound behind his back,” the affidavit said.

Henderson told investigators that Baum had “previously instructed her not to have guy friends and that it was too bad because he has never killed an innocent before."

“He later told her that he took care of Riley and Brelynne. She said that he told her that he made Riley suffer but that he felt bad about Brelynne and made it quick and painless,” the police affidavit added.

Baum was booked into the Utah County jail Wednesday on suspicion of two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of aggravated kidnapping and two counts of abuse or desecration of a human body.

According to the Utah County Sheriff's Office, Baum has also been charged with one count of possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, one count of witness tampering and one count of obstructing justice. Baum is being held without bail at the Utah County jail.

This story has been updated to include all of the charges against Jerrod William Baum by the Utah County Sheriff's Office.

Police: Maryland suspect claimed he shot girlfriend only after worrying he'd buried her alive

253x450

This booking photo released by the Montgomery County Department of Police shows Tyler Tessier, who was arrested Wednesday Sept. 13, 2017, in Montgomery County, Md., on murder chargers.

(AP)

For a week, as police in suburban Maryland searched for a missing, pregnant high school teacher, they grew convinced her boyfriend knew more than he was saying. Then they found the body of the teacher, shot once in the back of the head and buried in a shallow grave several hundred yards from where the boyfriend lived.

The boyfriend, Tyler Tessier, offered an explanation: Several men had kidnapped him and his girlfriend, Laura Wallen, killing her but sparing him.

Then he offered another, according to police: He and Wallen had argued, and as she lunged at him, she ran into a wooden post and collapsed, appearing to be dead. He then buried her in a field. In trying to explain why she was found shot, they say Tessier told them he had worried he might have buried her alive and fired one round at her to make sure she was not suffering.

The explanations offered by Tessier - as spelled out in court documents recently filed by Montgomery County, Maryland, prosecutors - describe a homicide suspect who had painted himself into a corner. His version of why he shot Wallen, according to filings first reported by WTOP, have him putting the weapon in his own hand.

Tessier is scheduled to be tried in Wallen's murder starting Sept. 4. Authorities say he killed Wallen after she tried to contact a different woman he was dating. Tessier did so by luring Wallen to the field, where he shot her and buried her, according to prosecutors. His attorney has said he is innocent.

U.S. Utah Arizona Human trafficking

A man has been charged with human trafficking and aggravated kidnapping by the state of Utah over allegations he abducted a 17-year-old girl and kept her as his “pet." The 38-year-old also faces several charges in Arizona.

Raymond Burk was charged with five counts of sexual contact with a minor, assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping in Maricopa County, Arizona where he’s been held on $150,000 bond, according to sheriff’s office records.

Now, the Utah Attorney General’s Office has filed further charges against him in the state’s Fifth District Court, according to documents seen by The Salt Lake Tribune.

The documents allege that a 17-year-old from Utah posted online about being “depressed” and wanting “someone to pick her up.” Burk responded, pretending to be 20 years old, and said that he would come pick her up to stay with him for two days.

The teen had said she was 18 but then admitted she was 17, the documents alleged, to which Burk was said to respond “even better.” After driving for longer than expected, Burk allegedly told the teen he was taking her to Phoenix where she would be his “pet.”

In Phoenix, Burk allegedly tied the teen to a bed when he went to work, sexually and physically assaulted her and told her she was his “little pet.” According to CNN, Burk “transported child victim to his drug supplier’s house and told her to have sex with the drug supplier so that they could get marijuana.”

The documents said that the girl managed to get a hold of one of Burk’s friend’s phones and wrote messages on social media to alert police.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Burk will next appear in court on April 25 in Phoenix, Arizona. Authorities in both states are coordinating their prosecution.

Disgraced Congressman Blake Farenthold announced his resignation from Congress Friday.

“Since being elected to Congress in 2010, I’ve worked to make government more efficient and responsive, cut government spending, repeal Obamacare, protect life and reduce the debt,” the Texas Republican said in a statement.

“While I planned on serving out the remainder of my term in Congress, I know in my heart it’s time for me to move along and look for new ways to serve,” he said.

The embattled politician’s resignation comes after it was revealed that he used $84,000 in taxpayer money to settle a sexual harassment claim made against him by his former communications director Lauren Greene.

Congress expands sexual misconduct probe into Rep. Farenthold

Greene alleged that Farenthold admitted to having "wet dreams" about her — claims that he denied.

His resignation is effective at 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 6.

Politicians accused of sexual harassment or assault

“Leaving my service in the House, I’m able to look back at the entirety of my career in public office and say that it was well worthwhile,” he said.

Farenthold pledged to pay back taxpayers, but he has yet to shell out the funds.

Rep. Blake Farenthold says he won’t seek reelection

The House Ethics Committee has launched investigations into the sexual misconduct allegations and his possible misuse of House resources. It is also investigating whether or not he made false statements in his testimony to the Committee.

The Congressman appeared to have deleted his Twitter account concurrent with the announcement Friday.

UFC Fighter Michael Chiesa Filed Police Report Against Conor McGregor After Bus Attack: Report
Char Adams,People 8 hours ago
MMA fighter Conor McGregor is facing a slew of charges after turning himself in for attacking a packed UFC bus and injuring one of the fighters on board, PEOPLE confirms.

UFC fighter Michael Chiesa reportedly filed a police report against Conor McGregor after the latter allegedly injured him during the incident, according to TMZ.

Chiesa was forced to withdraw from his fight at the UFC 223 due to his injuries. Chiesa tweeted the news, writing, “A decision was made by the New York State Athletic Commission to pull me from UFC 223. I’m devastated to say the least. @Showtimepettis I hope to run this match up ASAP, June 9th in your backyard. That’s all I have to say for now. Much love.”

McGregor is charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief as a result of the Thursday incident in which the Irish native allegedly threw a dolly through one of the bus’ windows at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, a New York City Police Department spokesperson confirms to PEOPLE.

He turned himself in to police at the 78th precinct on Thursday night, and was transported to Brooklyn Criminal Court early on Friday, the spokesperson says.

Chiesa was allegedly injured in the incident, suffering several cuts to the face, according to ESPN. Chiesa’s coach, John Wood, told the site that Chiesa had been hospitalized. Chiesa announced on Twitter Thursday night that he would not be competing at the UFC 223.

Footage of the incident shared on Instagram by UFC fighter Felice Herrig allegedly showed McGregor holding up a metal guardrail and preparing to launch it at the bus before he was stopped. In another video published by TMZ, other men — allegedly part of McGregor’s crew — were shown charging at the bus, with at least one seen trying to throw a chair.”

UFC president Dana White said credentialed journalists from McGregor’s website let the fighter and his entourage into the venue, ESPN reports. Witnesses said McGregor — who was not scheduled to compete in the event — ran into the arena’s loading dock and began throwing objects at the bus as it took a group of UFC fighters to a nearby hotel.

“It’s disgusting, and I don’t think anybody is gonna be huge Conor McGregor fans after this,” White told an ESPN reporter after the incident, calling McGregor and his entourage “thugs.”

“I don’t know if he’s on drugs, or what his deal is. But to come and do this and act like this? You’re talking about a guy who has a baby, he just had a kid. This is how you’re acting? You have a son at home.”

A West Virginia woman was arrested for beheading her boyfriend before telling cops, “You have to take me back and let me get my heads,” as they drove her away from the bloody scene, authorities said.

A judge in Mercer County said further assessment is needed to evaluate the mental competency of Roena Cheryl Mills, who is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Bo Allen White, WVNS reported.

Mills, according to court documents obtained by the station, was found covered in blood while wearing a glove on her left hand when deputies responded on April 1 to a home on Eden Valley Road in Lerona.

Using a fake name, Mills, 41, told responding deputies she was cut and left bloodied after being thrown through a glass door. She then got combative with officers and was placed under arrest. Once inside a deputy’s cruiser, Mills reportedly said: “You have to take me back and let me get my heads.”

Later that day, cops were tipped off to the decapitated body of a man found on another block in town. A different, unidentified part of his body was also found where Mills was arrested, WVNS reports.

The killing, according to the criminal complaint, was a “decapitation homicide,” Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney George Sitler said.

“That’s how it appears,” Sitler told West Virginia MetroNews.

A court-ordered mental status evaluation will determine if Mills can face trial in White’s brutal death. The case will then be presented to a grand jury in June. If 12 of 16 grand jurors find probable cause in the alleged killing, Mills will be indicted either on a first- or second-degree murder charge, according to the prosecutor.

“Even though she’s only been initially charged with second-degree murder because there was some initial doubt about premeditation, [the] grand jury could certainly indict her for first-degree murder,” Sitler told the station.

Mills, of Rural Retreat, Virginia, remained in custody at the Southern Regional Jail in Raleigh on $210,000 cash-only bail as of Monday, jail records show.

While in custody at the jail, Mills — who was dating White, according to his father — had been talking about killing someone, employees told WVNS.

Deputies were called to the second home after its owners saw someone suspicious in their driveway, WVNews reports. A glove matching one that Mills was wearing at the time was found earlier at White’s home, according to the station.

North Carolina father and biological daughter charged with incest after having baby

A North Carolina man and his biological daughter were arrested on incest charges after authorities learned they had a child together and lived as a "married" couple, according to local reports.

Steven Pladl, 42, and Katie Pladl, 20, who lived in Knightdale, N.C., were arrested on Jan. 27, according to WNCN-TV. Both were charged with incest, adultery, and contributing to delinquency.

According to the station, Steven and his then-wife had Katie in 1998 and she was adopted out-of-state. Several years ago, Katie reportedly used social media to reach out to her biological parents and moved into the home they lived in with their two children near Richmond, Va., in August 2016.

In November 2016, Steven and his wife legally separated, and his wife later told authorities that her husband slept in Katie's room on the floor the month before she moved out.

Steven's former wife told authorities that she did not know Katie and her then-husband were involved in a sexual relationship, until she read one of their children's diary entries in May.

The woman told WTVR-TV that she found a drawing of Katie pregnant and her child wrote that her father told her to refer to Katie as her step-mom.

The woman told authorities that she confronted Steven about the relationship and he said he was the father and the pair planned to marry.

The woman, who has remained anonymous to protect her children, took out a protective order against Steven, according to the station.

In July, Katie posted a photo on her Instagram account, with the hashtags #justmarried and #simplewedding.

Steven and Katie later moved to North Carolina and on November, 29, 2017, Henrico County police in Virginia issued warrants for their arrest, WNCN-TV reported.

According to WTVR-TV Steven and Katie had a child in September. The pair will face extradition to Virginia, where if convicted, they could face up to 10 years in prison, according to WTVR-TV.

While extremely rare, there have been similar cases of estranged parents and children forming sexual relationships. In New Mexico, a mother and son spoke to media in 2016 about their sexual relationship in an attempt to gain attention for "genetic sexual attraction," (GSA) or sexual feelings between relatives who meet for the first time as adults.

Psychotherapist Robi Ludwig told USA TODAY in 2016 that the concept of normalizing incest, even in a “consensual” GSA case, can be dangerous, especially when it comes to an older parent and a younger person who may be too immature to understand, according to Ludwig.

Ludwig likened this power imbalance to a professional relationship, such as teacher-student or therapist-patient. “When you are the professional in the parental role, you have the power,” Ludwig said. “It is your role to set appropriate boundaries.”

Ludwig noted that that taboo of incest can discourage people from seeking help when feeling strange emotions.

Random black guy strikes again. Except, of course, he didn’t. But a white, Spotsylvania County, Va., man was arrested and charged with felony offenses Sunday after authorities say he shot himself in the leg and then attempted to blame his injury on two black men.

Eric Hunter Jones was taken into police custody and hit with a slew of charges after police say he lied to them about being shot by a black man.

Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Lt. Charles Carey told the Free Lance-Star that deputies responded to the Econo Lodge on Jefferson Davis Highway in Spotsylvania at around 11:40 p.m. Saturday after being notified of a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

That man was identified as the 23-year-old Jones, who was found with a single wound to his lower leg. Jones told deputies that two black men had approached him outside the motel and one of them shot him, police said.

Detectives were called in and began interviewing witnesses in an attempt to try to pinpoint a possible suspect. Eventually it became clear to detectives that there was no suspect and that Jones had actually shot his own damn self ... with a stolen gun, to boot.

Officers searched Jones’ motel room and found the weapon, which they determined was stolen. Jones was then taken to a local hospital, where he was treated before being released into police custody.

Jones is facing charges including possession of a firearm by a felon, a felony receiving stolen property, reckless handling of a firearm and filing a false police report.

She was released on bail less than three hours later. As you can see above, Tucker was released on $650 bond. The mugshot is not available on county website as Bibbs County stop posting mugshots in 2014.

Now the business that Tucker has, called, “Judy Tucker’s Complete Art Restoration”, which is an art restoration venture in Macon, is getting negative reviews online. The website is already deleted, but below are a few thousand reviews on their Facebook page.
