PINE BLUFF, Ark. —

A 69-year-old Arkansas woman has been accused of fatally shooting her 65-year-old husband in a disagreement over pornography.

Jefferson County Jail records indicate Patricia Hill was booked for murder Saturday and is being held without bond. The records don’t indicate if she is represented by an attorney who could speak on her behalf.

Sheriff’s Maj. Lafayette Woods Jr. says Patricia Hill is accused of fatally shooting her husband, Frank Hill, shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday.

Patricia Hill waived her rights and agreed to speak with investigators, Woods said in the news release. She said she and her husband had never had any "physical altercations," but that they had a disagreement over pornography.

"Mrs. Hill stated that she disagreed with her husband’s purchase of video pornography via the television guide, which she canceled upon discovering the purchase, but Mr. Hill managed to place a subsequent order," Maj. Lafayette Woods, Jr. wrote in a statement. "Mrs. Hill stated that she entered the shed and asked her husband to leave but he refused."

That's when Patricia Hill allegedly retrieved a .22-caliber pistol and shot her husband in the leg and head.

Authorities say Frank Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.

"She's the last person I'd thought would've ever done something like this," neighbor James Pierce told KATV. "I'm really quite shocked this happened because she was a really wonderful lady. "

Pierce called Patricia Hill a spiritual woman who taught Sunday school and was always willing to help out.

"When people were gone, she'd go and pickup their mail for them and stuff like that. She was a very trustworthy person," he said.

Ohio police chief overdosed on drugs taken from evidence room, investigators say

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio – An Ohio police chief who died of a fentanyl overdose allegedly took the drugs from his department's evidence room, authorities say.

Kirkersville Police Chief James Hughes Jr., 35, was found unresponsive in the bathroom of his Reynoldsburg home on May 25. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Reynoldsburg Police Department Lt. Ron Wright said the department is still investigating, but evidence shows the drugs were possibly evidence in other cases.

Wright said it appears Hughes took the drugs himself from the evidence room.

"There was packaging that indicated that he was taking controlled substances from there," he said.

More: Autopsy: Ohio police chief died of fentanyl overdose

More: Surgeon General: More should carry antidote to counter opioid overdoses

An autopsy was conducted by the Franklin County Coroner's Office and results released July 13 indicated Hughes died of an "acute intoxication by fentanyl."

Records from the coroner's office indicate two syringes were recovered and tested for the presence of substances which may have contributed to Hughes' death.

One syringe had no drugs in it, the other was positive for fentanyl. A plastic sandwich bag found at the scene tested positive for cocaine and a third syringe containing a liquid was determined to be positive for fentanyl.

Hughes was named police chief on March 13 during a two-minute special village council meeting. His hiring came less than a week after the prior chief, Jeff Finley, had unexpectedly resigned, citing irreconcilable differences with Kirkersville Mayor Terry Ashcraft.

Prior to Hughes' death, the village had been planning to increase his weekly schedule from 20 hours to 32 hours. He was making $14 an hour at the time of his death.

Hughes' checkered history was discovered by The Advocate after his hiring in Kirkersville. The mayor and village council members were reluctant or declined to answer any questions about that history, which included a misdemeanor conviction in Whitehall for disorderly conduct for a 2013 incident at a fast food restaurant drive-thru in which Hughes used a racial slur.

The village has not yet named a replacement for Hughes. In June, the village council agreed to provide Hughes' family with $1,500 to help cover the costs of his funeral. The council was scheduled to meet Wednesday evening.

If the drugs were taken from the property room, no one sold the drugs to Hughes and therefore there is no one for Reynoldsburg police to charge in Hughes' death, Wright said.

Wright said when the Reynoldsburg department closes the case within the next two weeks, he plans to contact the Ohio Attorney General's Office.

"It's kind of gone beyond our level. You're talking about another agency's property room," he said. "We think the state should probably intervene."

If the attorney general's office takes the case, Wright said he believes a state-level investigator would be assigned to examine the practices and procedures of the Kirkersville Police Department.

Wright said he is not an evidence room expert, but there are proper procedures to use when maintaining an evidence room.

"There appeared to be some practices happening out there that probably someone from the state AG's office should probably look into," he said.

Wright said this case shows no one is immune from the heroin epidemic that is impacting so much of Ohio and other parts of the country.

"It's happening at all different levels and walks of life," he said.

Robert Tyson, 62, allegedly twice placed semen into the woman's water mug at the dermatology center where they worked in Tallahaseee

A Florida man has been arrested after he was caught on camera lacing a female co-worker's drink with semen.

Robert Tyson, 62, allegedly twice placed semen into the woman's water mug at the dermatology center where they worked in Tallahaseee.

The 37-year-old woman told police that she was drinking the water last month when she noticed a 'distinct taste and smell'.

After taking a closer look, the woman said she 'observed a white colored mucous substance floating atop the water'.

Police said surveillance footage from inside the office captured Tyson sneaking up to the woman's desk on June 26 and July 2 when she had stepped away.

The footage allegedly showed him pouring a substance from a specimen jar into her water mug.

The woman told police she thought he might have targeted her because of previous clashes about her management style.

She said Tyson had written numerous letters to the HR department saying he didn't think she was an effective office manager.

Tyson was fired after the surveillance video emerged.

He sent an email to the HR department on July 4 allegedly admitting to his actions.

Tyson wrote that he was 'repulsed at the thought of my action'.

'I put a couple of drops of semen in her water. Yes, semen. Why semen? Why put anything at all in there? I-DO-NOT-KNOW!!! I-JUST-DO-NOT-KNOW!!!' he wrote.

He later wrote that he was exhausted due to his work schedule.

Tyson was charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery.

He has pleaded not guilty and has been ordered not to have any contact with the woman.

An idealistic young American couple was killed in an Islamic State-claimed terrorist attack last month while on a cycling trip around the world.

Jay Austin and Lauren Geoghegan, who were both in their late 20s, last year quit their office jobs in Washington, DC, to embark on the journey. Austin, a vegan who worked for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Geoghegan, a vegetarian who worked in the Georgetown University admissions office, decided that they're were wasting their lives working.

"I’ve grown tired of spending the best hours of my day in front of a glowing rectangle, of coloring the best years of my life in swaths of grey and beige,” Austinwrote on his blog before he quit. “I’ve missed too many sunsets while my back was turned. Too many thunderstorms went unwatched, too many gentle breezes unnoticed.”

Well Damn: Florida Couple Built Drive-Thru Window At Mobile Home To Sell Drugs!

Florida Couple Builds Drive-Through Window for Drugs

Parrish-and-Dobbs-drug-drive-thru-300x169.jpg

“From Florida again?” This is a common theme among responses to posts involving phonies; many of whom hail from Florida. A popular “guess” ponders what they’re putting in the water that’s causing many people to either embellish or ride the phony pony.

Instead of the water, could it be the innovative ways that drugs are being sold? A couple in Florida built a drive through window, in their mobile home, for people to purchase drugs. They didn’t stop there.

They provided signs directing drug customers to their window. They even had an “open/close” sign that had a “will be back” section.

FromFox News:

Ocala Police said the couple had turned a kitchen window into a drive-thru so customers would not have to constantly enter and exit their home, potentially drawing unwanted attention, WFTV reported. The house had signs directing people where to drive and indicated whether it was open or closed, police said.

Of course, Parrish’s dad tried to pull the “nice guy” card in defense of his son:

William Parrish Sr. told WFTV his son had been “trying to get himself straightened out” and maintained reports of overdoses were a “lie.”

On the legal side of the house,Las Vegas is home to a 24-foot-long fully functional bong:

An upstate penitentiary worker tapped to be an assistant to actress Patricia Arquette in a TV series about the 2015 “Shawshank Redemption”-style prison escape has admitted to romancing an inmate.

The Hollywood twist adds a new layer of drama to the tawdry shenanigans at the notorious Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora.

Denise Prell, 39, confessed to kissing and fondling a convicted killer, as well as plying the inmate with candy, beef jerky and more than $400 in cash, according to a state report.

The illicit romance kicked off in May 2017, two years after seamstress Joyce Mitchell helped two murderers bust out of the maximum-security prison.

Prison worker caught having sexual contact with con at N.Y. lock-up where infatuated employee aided killers' escape »
The escape of Richard Matt and David Sweat, who had a romantic relationship with Mitchell, riveted the nation and rattled residents in upstate New York.

The pair remained on the run for three weeks before Matt was fatally shot by police and Sweat was captured.

A Showtime series on the breakout, directed by Ben Stiller and starring Arquette playing the role of Mitchell, is scheduled to premiere in November.

The report by the state inspector general notes that Prell was carrying on the affair when she was tasked with assisting the Hollywood actress during filming at the upstate prison.

“Ironically, Prell was also chosen by (state correction officials) at this time to be an unpaid assistant to the actress Patricia Arquette, who was at Clinton Correctional Facility for the filming of a television series about the 2015 prison escape and playing the role of tailor shop civilian employee Joyce Mitchell,” the report states.

Prell pleaded guilty Aug. 28 to sexual abuse, promoting prison contraband and 23 official counts of misconduct.

The report says Prell went to great lengths to conceal the relationship with her inmate beau, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter for a 2008 killing in Brooklyn.

She adopted a fake name — Gwendolyn Freeman — and used a prepaid cell phone so she could receive calls from the inmate without her husband finding out.

Even after the man was transferred to a different prison, Prell carried on the relationship. She drove to Elmira to see him behind bars in September 2017, according to the report.

“According to both, they both held hands and kissed during their visit,” the report says noting that she deposited $50 into his prison account.”

Prell was fired later that month. She’s scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 13.

Alaska mother charged with killing infant daughters in separate incidents years apart

Stephany LaFountain, 23, was charged in the deaths of her two infant daughters. (Fairbanks Police Department)

An Alaska mother has been charged with killing both of her daughters in separate incidents two years apart.

Stephany LaFountain was indicted on charges of first and second-degree murder in the deaths of her 4-month-old child in September 2015 and her 13-month-old in November 2017, according to a Fairbanks Police Department press release.

“We have family and baby that suffered in obscurity, in silence,” Chief Eric Jeweks said during a press conference Friday. “They shouldered the grieving process alone and hopefully we’ll be able to bring some closure to them.”

Fort Wainwright police said the 23-year-old mother phoned 911 and told dispatchers her daughter was not breathing around 6:20 p.m. the night of Nov. 20, 2017. Her husband had been deployed at the time, but his family made it to the scene and administered CPR.

The infant was taken to Fairbanks Medical Hospital, where she was pronounced dead four days later.

The tragedy prompted authorities to circle back to a prior 2015 incident also involving LaFountain. That fall, the Alaska mother reported her 4-month-old daughter — from a different relationship — had similarly suddenly stopped breathing. The little girl was taken to the hospital and died an hour later.

While neither incident initially appeared to be a homicide, the similarities between them made circumstances of both deaths suspicious, Fairbanks police spokeswoman Yumi McCulloch toldKTVA.

Amid their investigation into the death of LaFountain’s second child, forensic teams uncovered a series of suspicious search entries logged on the mother’s computer just an hour before she called 911. Some of her queries included “ways to kill human with no proof,” “drowning and forensics” and “How to: Commit the Perfect Murder.”

The medical examiner’s officer determined both children’s cause of death to be consistent with strangulation.

She was arraigned Friday via closed circuit TV from Fairbanks Correctional Center and her bond was set at $2 million
