Why only 40 days?

So they're probably doing 40 days because one it's a relatively quick time frame and two because it's being done by a pastor probably doing the whole 40 days and 40 nights kind of thing.

In addition to 40 being a biblical number, the proposed dates closely align with the dates for Lent.

Instead of giving up chocolate, etc. he's asking people to give up Target.
