yeah i clean up on their lil asses too. Did you fight that black blade kindred in front of that huge bldg?
best farming area in the entire game is underground. Mogwhyn Palace.
you are a long way from getting there. You access it thru one of those teleporting portals, located in consecrated snowfield.
To get to the snowfield you must first get to/through a couple more areas.
there may be a second, secret way of getting there but i never found it.

I just beat Rennala, last week. I had my homie help me and I still had a hard time with her...lol...I need to start Ranni's quest so I can to finish Luirnia area.

I saw a few videos on Mogwhyn Palace and some of the late game stuff. They look really tough...

late game areas are fuckin' brutal (crumbling farum azula, consecrated snowfied, the haligtree). Moghwyn place is actually pretty easy. you can farm the sleeping albanuarics and one of those crows, which basically commits suicide when you hit it. there is a grace site right there..rinse and repeat. the only thing really hard in Moghwyn is the boss fight against Mogh Lord of blood (not to be confused with the easier version of him in the underground capital sewers. )

in regards to Rennalla, i'm a strength build and she is very squishy. you likely struggled due to her magic casting. if you can avoid that and get in her face she goes down quite easy. That red wolf of radagon was annoying as fuck.

Liurnia is fuckin' huge
so big that it is split into 3 regions.
lots of cool stuff there.
you will find at least one Lord of the rings easter egg if you progress to the uppermost NE region. Won't spoil it for you, but you will know you are in the area when you start seeing rats (a grassy area, not in the water)

What's crazy,I brought Dark Souls on the Switch and was at the beginning leveling up but when I brought a Elden and a PS5 a month later. I'm enjoying Elden a lot more...

I may never return to Dark Souls again..I already started a second build in Elden(samurai) even though I haven't finished my first one..

:lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

I enjoy Elden a lot more than Dark Souls. I don't mind the difficulty but Dark Souls feels too constricted..imo

i feel you there'
i am playing DS3 and that is my complaint about it..
it's linear and the player movement is somewhat janky too
Elden ring, despite the difficulty and 'bullshit' you encounter is just so much fun
Frustrating at times, constant stress too, but once the game clicks with you it is so much gotdamn fun
I'm on NG+ and already at Farum Azula (late game area)
i have a second run going as well (trying to do some magic/casting)

Like, this morning I was a Radahn and lost a lot but was close though. It was funny as hell seeing him riding that little as horse.

What's crazy is that the first half of the fight was easy even though the game gives you a shitty angle at the beginning. I got hit by his meteor and was like were that shit come from. I started summoning NPCs. It was the second half that kept killing me.

I'm gonna kill Patches bitch ass when I see him again.

My homie was like, how you active the festival and I had no clue so I looked it up and sure enough it was because I activated the Dectus Lift,a few days ago....lol

I beat Rennala but needed my homie to help me. That fucking red dog was pissing me off. I would be a couple of hits a way of killing him but eventually I kill him.

Since, you're on your second build I recommend not getting the Lusat staff. That shit consumes 50% more FP than any other staff even though it's the strongest staff in the game.

I'm currently trying to level up(level 105 currently) before going to the late game areas because I know it's gonna be a bitch...

i actually acquired that staff but have not used it
good looking out
i did not know that
there is so much attention to detail put into this game.

if you found the red wolf of radagon annoying, wait till you reach end game and fight the actual Radagon.
Oh my goodness what a difficult fight without using spirit ashes.
that bastard is EXTREMELY aggressive.

for those tracking, the Elden Ring shadow of the erdtree DLC location has been revealed.
it's in Moghwyn palace, right after the Mohg Lord of Blood boss fight.
So you basically have to progress the game to that point, even if you are in NG+ like me.

as if caelid isn't creepy enough, you get invaded the minute you set foot in there (near that church)

When,I tell you;I just went to that church just two days ago and got my ass whooped. It took me a few tries but I killed the invader. I was just riding along and then Torrent disappeared....I was like wtf ..lol...All of a sudden I was getting my ass kicked from behind and when I died I saw the camera zoomed out and it was an invader.....When,I went back to get my runes;I saw where it came from.

The one invader I was looking for was Millicent;the one from the swamp cuz she killed me when I was around level 30. This was when I first came to Caelid and never returned until I came back last week. I three shot killed her with my Gravity spell....lol

yeah those invaders are a trip. it gets worse the later you progress in the game.
Consecrated snowfield has multiple invaders.
good shit with the gravity spell.

i literally just kicked Mogh's ass and let my character rest at the entry point for the DLC for now.
Mogh is one tough, cheating son of a bitch.
if you come across an item called 'mogh's shackle' please hang onto it

lake of rot isn't too bad
luckily it's pretty short.
the difficulty will really scale up around mountaintops of the giants.
You will notice the difference.

I'm past Lake of Rot but I missed some Sombering Stones. I'm gonna have to go back and get them but I got my ass kicked by Astel. I was at it for four hours I had to retreat for now. That fucking tail or that slam gets me every single time when he has 25% of life left...

It's crazy,I could tolerate losing in Elden Ring than in Dark Souls....lol

gotta learn his attack patterns for sure.
I play Dark souls III here and there myself.
Elden ring just clicks with me more.

I beat him. I had to raise my Dex,HP and FP up. Then, upgraded my Summon Mimic.

I think I found an area to farm runes at the Grand Cloister(the area before you face Astel). I farm those bugs that shoot those threads at you. They give me 1800+ runes per bug. I usually do this for two or three hours and then level up.

There's a rumor that everyone's character might get resetted for the DLC....:smh:

i'll see your farming location and raise you moghwyn palace
you will know when you get there
equip the gold scarab and come out with like 50k runes per run.

far as charater re-setting, that is some typical elden ring bullshit.
if they pull that nonsense, then the scaling should go down to match
i'm on ng+ and just beat the dual night's calvary (yes there are 2 of them) in consecrated snowfield.

I know what spot you're talking about. I need to do that quest to get there.

As,for the reset;here is an article I read last night about the new leveling system.

Here is my to do list

Finish up Volcano Manor and Altus Plateau

Start Leyndell

Go to Moghwyn Palace,Mountaintops of the Giants and Haligtree

Ill probably go to Moghwyn Palace while I'm exploring Leyndell. My endurance is low ass fuck. It's on level 9. I've leveled up every stat except for that one...lol

anybody fuck with Sekiro?

Im getting that later....much later

you need to visit the consecrated snowfield to reach both Moghywn and the haligtree. The path to the haligtree is some straight up bullshit.
like i mentioned to JW13, the consecrated snowfield is one fucked up area. That place can kiss my black ass.
yeah you definitely could use some endurance (or equip a talisman). it will help towards the end.

Sekiro is different than the other souls games. you don't 'level up' like in elden ring or Dark souls.
that game also prioritizes you pressing the action/being aggressive - at the same time that makes the fights very intense and so much fun.
the play style is different and you hit walls against certain enemies (remember you cannot level up)
it's for that reason that many say Sekiro is the hardest souls game.
it's growing on me.

the elden ring DLC is basically adding in an 'attack stat' that we must build up - like sekiro.
this is to take on the bosses.
the rune based elden ring leveling system will still be in place.
good idea actually.

You can go to Moghwyn Palace through Varre quest. I went there and got my ass kicked by those frog looking creatures. Then,I rode passed them just to get invaded and get killed....I need to level up my Vigor again. I'm on level 35 for Vigor and 39 for Mind. I was gonna level up my Vigor anyways...

I finally defended that invader in Volcano Manor...He was annoying ass fuck with that pizza cutter...
