To play PS4 games.
Sure, the games look a little better due to Ray Tracing. Some old games run better/smoother/faster. But it ain't like this big dramatic ass difference from the 4 Pro.
It supports 120fps, but as of Feb 2021 these are the only games that run at 120fps:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (Supports 120 FPS at lower resolution)
- Destiny 2 (Supports 120FPS at lower resolution in Crucible matches)
- Devil May Cry V: Special Edition (Supports 120FPS at 1080p)
- Dirt 5 (Supports 120 FPS at lower resolution)
- Fortnite (Supports 120 FPS at lower resolution)
- Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom (Supports 120 FPS at native 4K)
- Nioh Collection (Both Nioh 1, Nioh 2 and DLC for both games supports 120 FPS at a lower resolution)
- Rainbow Six Siege (Supports 120 FPS at lower resolution)
- WRC 9 (Supports 120 FPS in ‘Performance Mode’)
Like someone else said, it's fear of missing out. It's like if you can get one, cool. But if you got a PS4 Pro or a Xbox One X, and you don't want to switch to the opposite brand, like you ain't really missing on a whole lot of shit right now.
I'm waiting on Ratchet and Clank, Deathloop and Cyberpunk (the finished PS5 version), but those ain't gone be here until June and after.
