Yeah, some the writing for this shows leaves you scratching your head like WTF were they thinking about... but, they always have!

I thought it was a great episode and they're just adding more twists to the story line, is all.

Even if he was, people cheat for their own reasons. Its not always about scratching that particular itch. Tasha likes D like any woman, but she also likes the feeling of playing puppet master. This show. Courtney Kemp, 2things would have made this episode better

1. Since everyone predicted dude was Tommy father, maybe change it to him being Holly's Father. Shit would have matter with the same amount of unimportant weight.

2. How about mimic real life, Use a black Face (James) to buy property in the hood( Brooklyn) so the natives wont know they are being robbed.

Your second point is exactly what they are doing but in reverse...

White man is using Ghost to buy property in Manhattan for cheap. On that property he will build something that will raise the property value up and then sell it.

10 bucks says the property he wants to buy in Manhattan is run down and not the best. Get the black man in their with a story about revitalizing the hood and you got a sale.

Larenz Tate's character has similar things in mind I think but on a smaller scale. Grimier scale.
