POWER Book all seasons discussion thread (Power Book II: Ghost canceled )
This is the biggest plot hole that has plagued this show since the second episode of season 1. I say second episode because in the first episode it seemed like Ghost and Tommy had a big crew. NONE of these dudes have the appropriate team to support their lifestyles...
Tommy - He is well known in the streets as a major drug distro, but travels alone always in a car very easily found with no tints and lives in a loft with all windows and no guards.
Ghost - Also well known in the streets, but has no bodyguard, no guns, just a driver who doesnt even know how to use a gun.
Lobos - The Major Drug Cartel leader that has only 1-2 bodyguards and 1 hitman.
You would think after Ghost almost got killed by the Jamaicans and Milans SECURITY TEAM saved him, Ghost would have invested in REAL security....but no! Tommy's safe house only has 3 dudes guarding all that money!?!? Yet there is lots of talk from Tommy and Ghost about "Starting a War" when they have few to no soldiers...
Has Ghost had "guys" to handle stuff he would never have gone to jail...hell Bobby Axelrod from Billions has more "guys" than ghost and hes in the stock business...dude got hitmen, investigators, informants, etc.

the funny shit is you answered your own question w/ that last comparison...axelrod is 100% a public figure...ghost (I mean his fucking name is 'ghost') is 50% in the shadows...there's a reason why he didn't want milan as his security in the first fucking place so he could continue to navigate in the shadows...even when he had the clubs remember initially he wanted to stay low key...no pics...nothing...cuz he's still in the streets...he doesn't need the attention having a damn security team will bring...tommy is more muscle than boss...so I can see him rolling dolo and not giving a fuck @ all...the only thing unbelievable about tommy is his whiteness in relation to how high up he is in a crew of black dudes and puerto ricans

And he's just moving slow and staring back at her like "don't look down, don't look down, look at my eyes"

Nah bro, he was unknown to the public but everybody in the game knew him or knew of him, so there is no gotdamn reason he didnt have at least 2 bodyguards...hell Ruiz had 2 goons at his door at all times!! Rolla's lil brother Quarter Water had goons around him trying to watch his back....everyone has peeps except for Ghost who is the major distro who lots of people like Ruiz want to take his place, other cartels might want to take him out to cripple the competition, so regardless of what he wanted his public image to be there is no reason he nor Tommy (since last season becoming Distro) shouldn't be protected at all times...shit would negate a LOT of shit happening with the plot of this show, hell Ghost got a family and Kanan knew where they lived that alone should warrant a detail on the penthouse!!
