He played Gordy the weatherman on 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' and earned an Emmy nom for his turn as the older Kunta Kinte on 'Roots.'

The memorial for this year gonna have a bunch of legends in it….people shit on Coming 2 America by it’s gonna go down as the last time we see Amos and James Earl Jones on screeen. I think even Louie Anderson too.

A lot of people die ever year but the legends passing…at least they made it to 80 plus I guess.I was just telling someone a minute ago that is a lot of people dying this year

When James Earl Jones died, I called my dad, which we talk often anyway, but if I call him today because "James" died, he going to tell me to get off his phone. lol
My dad is 81 and even though he's in good shape, I'm terrified to receive this call.
My pops is 72, but he's good now and always stays in shape.
But you always want to create moments that you can cherish forever.
