Represented a great hard working father who never cheated on his wife. Even though he was tempted.

Rest in Peace, rise in Light.

A true artist, and a prime example of what used to be called a "man".

His character on Good Times was killed off because he was not with the program of focusing on the minstrel sambo that was, and now CLEARLY is jimmie walker (I don't respect him enough to capitalize his name).

norman lear was a piece of shit. He was the creator of Good Times, which initially focused on a Black family struggling day to day in the projects of Chicago. It became a mistrel show, as "dy-no-mite", and a grinning, prancing stereotype, and his weekly antics, became the main theme of the show.

Good Times ended up being a bitch slap in the face of African America. I applaud this man for fighting the power. For real. AND he was a damned good actor.

We are diminished as a civilization by his demise.

Eric Monte says otherwise.

On another note John Amos hated that reboot animated version of Good Times on Netflix.
