You know, I generally have a Veteran rule.
I don't talk to or respond to new members until they have 1000 posts. Now I remember why I have that rule.
I'm going to go back to it.
Too new. Too green. Haven't been here years to understand how we stuck with HNIC when this board was just coming up and it was really nothing.
Keeping the board alive and interesting:
- During the multiple wars with other sites who tried to invade. Suffice to say, I think BGOL has successfully killed and stolen members from 3 other sites that warred with us.
- The server migration and loss of all info and screennames and post count (the Vets you see here - there post count is probably double if not triple what's currently reflected.)
- The year and half of database errors.
So this turn of events is rather surprising considering we know HNIC is banking a pretty nice penny off the board.
We tracked the site hits over at Alexa so we know.
