I'm glad Fiona isn't in a relationship anymore

Frank is the only one really making the show watchable for me

I think they've just gone too left to me.

The 3 person marriage shit is killing the V and Kev characters, Lip constantly fucking up isn't working as a storyline, the Trans-gendered storyline is weak and just pandering, and they're trying too hard with the Deb storyline.

So far this season the show has lost its identity.

Another problem with the show is there afraid to let some of the characters "win."

Lip for example could actually become successful but still be a fuck up which would open up a lot of storylines.

I think you have to have some positive storylines to go along with the "shameless" shit.

Now that you mention it I'll bet thats it, they couldn't have had much time to write this season. They usually don't even start filming until around September

I have to say this isn't their best year but its not as bad as Weeds though, they nose dived after 2 seasons.

This year isn't bad its just ok which for a show like this won't work because they've already set the bar too high.

and none for lip when he gets arrested and put in jail for a few years at the end of this season.

Lip's company ducks the feds by switching proxies which will only work for so long. Just look at all the bitcoin casinos that regularly get shut down despite being TOR only. They are about to have their assets seized and frozen so Lip is trying to grab what he can in the mean time. By the time they figure out he embezzled them there won't be a company left to press charges.

I also suspect that he added piss to their drinks during the video game tournament.

Another good episode in the books.

The relationship between Carl and Dominique's father is comedy. We know Carl will not make it in military school. He'll probably be kicked out for doing things that Carl does. However, it is good to see him make an attempt to go down a less troublesome path.

I'm with Lip when it comes to criticizing Fiona's purchase of the laundry mat. Fiona is doing things to better herself and long term benefit the family, but to leverage their home after they came so close to losing it, without consulting the rest of the family is highly irresponsible. Fiona needs Lip's support and he's been shitty to her recently, but he is absolutely right to be pissed with her. Fiona is going to learn the hard way that it takes a lot of work to go from nothing to something, not just luck and loans.

Ah yes, of course Frank fucked up a good thing. He was keeping shit together in the house, but those homeless people weren't going to stand for Frank taking his percentage and keeping the good shit to himself. Dude is back where he belongs, on the bench outside.

Yeah - he's one of those individuals who hardly ever cracks a smile or joke. So when he mentioned liking Shameless, I was almost gonna joke with him about - "So, do you like the fucked-up plotlines, or the ass/titties?"

But I knew he was too unfunny to get my joke and would probably think I was being rude and disrespectful.

Generous as anybody one might have in their family, and has worked at various concert venues (i.e. - free tickets) & always like checking out movies. Hell ... she took me to Boyz N the Hood as a 7th grader, as she wanted to see it too! Have seen a number of action flicks with her. Saw the last Bond movie pre-Christmas last year. Went to the Bourne movie a few months back.

I thought about that being a possibility last night. Either the woman has a poor memory bordering on dementia, which could later be seen as Fiona taking advantage of her or she signed over the property already and legitimately forgot. The preview for the next episode shows Fiona trying to get the place fixed up, which would suggest the sale went through, but that don't mean that the possible rightful owners won't come through and pull the rug up from under her.

It would be a real twist if the laundry owner pulled some south side grimey shit and took everybody's money and ran.

Yeah - what I respect about them is that they're good people at the heart of it all. She'll be retiring soon. He's been retired for awhile and had some health scares (heart, blood clots). She lost both her parents within less than a year and a half from one another (late-2006 and early-2008, my grandparents) and they travel alot. Been all over the place internationally. Been to Brazil, Alaska, Hawaii, Spain, Italy, New York, and Chicago in recent years. Just got back from Hawaii last week.

No. This woman has been in business for over 50 years. I'm sure this isn't the first takeover bid she's fought. However, there is a serious flaw in Fiona's business plan.

She's trying to make money by modernizing the laundromat and throwing after hours parties when she already has an after hours across the street. Also, if you pay off the police to say nothing is going on at Patsy's at 4 AM he can make a believable report. What can that cop really say when you have drunk millennials partying at a laundromat at 4 AM?

A better idea would be to tap the till at Patsy's. Leave just enough money to please the owners and bank the rest. If staff complain break them off a small chunk. Once the police shut it down, and they will eventually, THEN you put up the house and open a business. Mix the Patsy's money with the proceeds of that business and pay off the loan.

Gallagher's don't win, just like the Bundy's. I haven't heard anything about this being the final season, although it could be and end properly. However, if it isn't the last season, something will bring them all back together under one roof and or fighting for each other. They could do a spin off series with individual characters, like Lip or Fiona, with cameos by the other cast.
