At this point I'm not sure what reality is anymore. This is (supposed to be) a limit series based on historical events, a novel, & a previous adaptation.

All of which ENDS before the battle, Toranaga becoming Shogun, & closing Japanese shores for about 200 years to traders and CaC barbarians.

Where the fuck are people getting 'news' about a season 2? Ain't no damn season 2. What would it even be about.... how everyone lived peacefully and there wasn't anymore more wars for about 2 centuries.

Is this 'news' coming from the people who wanted GoT to keep going for another 10 seasons? Are these the same people who are still watching the Simpsons & Family Guy? Nothing can ever end. Not when we can beat that dead horse for 6 more seasons and a movie

Oh and Bad Batch is the best shit currently running on tv.

Right. Seeing the success of Game of Thrones is was the only choice they had.

They should do a mini-series on "Oda Nobunaga..." He was the one who is pretty much responsible for the power struggles that were taking place in the Shogun series.

I love the show and I want more but please Hollywood don't drag this shit on and dilute it to hell.

Mr. Lengthy
Diluting the story is exactly what's gonna happen. Shogun is a story (based on real events) with a beginning, middle, and end. A season 2 isn't necessary.

I'm calling it now, that season 2 will most likely be a prequel. Probably about when the first black ships & the church showed up on Japanese shores.

American TV audiences and exces only know one concept ....

If it can still make money, then keep beating that dead horse for at least 6 more seasons & a movie.

How Shogun's Story Can Continue In Seasons 2 & 3 (Based On Real Life History)

Toranaga's rise to power sets up the establishment of his shogunate and the focus for future seasons. The Christianity ban and the Siege of Osaka should play key roles in upcoming storylines.

Regardless of whether they good or not, I still think making more seasons is a mistake.
Thought the #1 rule in show business was to leave the crowd wanting more.
Maybe that was just old Hollywood :dunno:

Anyway, for anyone still fiending for more Shgoun, there is always the original series & the novel.
I've been playing around with video editing, and seeing the parallels between the OG show & this remake is pretty amazing.

I'm pretty much watching both series simultaneously. First the 2024 version, then pausing and watching the OG show up until the same story point.
