As if Georgia don't have mountains and state parks with natural hot springs. I base home ownership on generational wealth and amount of land as in with acreage my seed seeds can build another home on their grandparents land or sell it and buy more acreage. you're baseing it on produce really? Ok in that case I can say I prefer Georgia due to its number 1 in peaches and pecans..wtf lol.

Again makes no sense to me to spend millions for less. Neighbors few feet away, only 3 br, barely a front - back yard a.k.a no acreage, no basement. Just to say " I OWN A MILLION DOLLAR HOME" lol.
As to where in GA for 400-700K more br, basement, not close to neighbors, and an acre or two
But our home values go way higher so we can cash out and move anywhere since y’all’s homes don’t go up in value like that. Y’all may make 1-200k but we will get 800k-1 million and it keeps going up. Owning property in California is much more valuable .

Yeah if you're not sitting on at least an acre. An acre or more gets 800k to a million or more in the South

Yeah but you have to move way out if you want an acre . I’m a city guy I don’t want or need all that or want to do the maintenance on an acre of land hell Naw

Cool but say you were sitting on an acre or 2, then you're looking at more than a million

Depends where. My family has 40 acres in Louisiana and it hasn’t appreciated much at all. I do feel you on the value on owning land, but no so much the economics when compared to California metro areas.

I have a problem when people put home and generational wealth together. To me, Generational wealth is something that can’t be lost or it takes a lot to lose. 100k from a home isn’t generational wealth. 10 million and up, now we talking. Home ownership can be great but it ain’t generational wealth…

100k? Where you get that figure?. Passing down homes to seeds isn't an example of generational wealth? who raised you

I agree, the beneficiaries can fuck that up so fast. The model is out dated.

No it's not. 100k is a high amount to what people can get from selling their homes. Might get 200k or 500k, that still ain't generational wealth...

The don’t pay the taxes or no will was created so the family fighting over it.

We know how it goes down. My family has lost a shit-ton of property due to both of those things.

Houses and land gone like a mofo.

You and Day remind me of the anti reparations folks that say Blacks don't deserve reps because they're financially illiterate

IMO one of the greatest areas of improvement for our people is wealth transfer. We blow millions not having wills and trusts.

Only having a primary home is not the best way to pass down generational wealth. I cant tell you how many families lost homes in months. Without a will, probate takes some off top, then there is fighting over what to do with the house, then there is the tax burden. Really, the best move is pulling equity. People with money don't focus on "paying off a home" and passing it down for generational wealth.

What does fucking up have to do with the term generational wealth? I have a 1million insurance policy thru NY Life; that leaves plenty for my kids if or when I demise; on top of other things; but that still isn't generational wealth; and that policy will leave more than most houses would ever leave for one's family...
