PTI since day one and still today

30 for 30 football stuff debatable

Don't watch first take anymore

I do more espn podcasts really

The espn thing is frustrating because it IS very fixable.
It IS very fixable. The thing is the model they're working by and hoping to profit from doesn't exist anymore. There are far too many options and if they're trying to get a certain amount of views, those views aren't available anymore. They have to taper expectations.

The problem is ESPN management thrives on contention and not chemistry. His & Hers was epic because those two people debated and they actually liked each other. I believe at least for most of the relationship Mike and Mike like each other...then Bitch Mike stabbed real man Mike in the back

But the Stephen A Smith screaming Skip Bayless yelling, Sean Salisbury calling old boy the Crypt Keeper. That shit got old but it got ratings temporarily. That shit ran me the fuck off

The show I listen to every day is one I'm listening to now: The Next Level on ESPN Cleveland with Emmett Golden (born and raised Clevelander), Jerod Cherry (3 time Super Bowl champ with the Patriots) and a producer named Jordan Klimack (great on the music)

These guys keep it light-hearted and fun and it's just fun, entertaining, laughing and joking, you forget it's even work kind of radio. I listen on Tune In Radio. Even if you're not from Cleveland it's still entertaining

It stays on ESPN throughout the day, but the TV is mostly looking at me since I work from home.

I will say the dude they are getting, Pat McAfee, I watch faithfully on youtube from 12 - 3pm....Good move by him, but I will miss the cussing...

Espn can fix this

They got all money resources and personnel

They NEED to clean house BEHIND the camera.

Yeah I feel u. I think with SAS, he is much better on his podcast. Not all the screaming and actually talking about substance....

His ESPN Radio show was really good....

But for me, if you want to listen to some real sports content, XM Radio is the way to go....

ESPN and FOX just gives surface information, but XM interviews alot of people on the ground and etc.....

I think that's why ESPN is brining on Pat McAfee...While it's not a debate show, the people he brings on are very diverse....Whether it's athletes, doctors that work in the various leagues, team owners, sports agents, General Managers, players, players you aint' heard from in years (Calving Johnson), beat writers, it's a global look from different angles of the sports world...

Usually I would tell you delete that so the execs won't steal it but in this case?

Please hire this man

Now.

You hit the nail in the head.

All podcasts should have been taped and available on the app, all debate shows should have a podcast component, a majority of their pre and post and halftime shows suck.

USE the personalities you have BETTER

improve your social media

Make hot takes and trolling BANNED.

where is the sport game show?

Where is the sports sciene show?

The sports kids show?

The show that actually TEACHES SPORTS? teach people about ice hockey, cricket, rugby etc.

Why don't you have a sports news show?

A long form sports interview show?

espn classic should have long form interviews all the time with vets

Every 30 for 30 should have a aftershow and podcast.

Make sports center relevant again

Now THAT ONE? Disney got to pay me for.

Yeah management needs to go.....Get some young blood in there...

Just like Joe Budden was talking on the pod the other day, there are so many other outlets out there to get content which is why people are not watching ESPN as much as they did 10 years ago...

Pat McFee has a huge following and I guaranteed that paid him the BAG because he doesn't need ESPN

He is right

BUT the STILL have a ridiculously huge audience

Their a household name, and more importantly reflex viewing. I ALWAYS end up checking them first till this day.

Their cable TV presence is immense

Your the worldwide leader

They should be proud of that.

Own that.

Be REAL JOURNALISTS AGAIN.

Stop being afraid of offending sensitive racist white fans.

Have fun. Be a leader. Do the right thing.

I am finding I prefer to listen to ex or former players when it comes to the NBA and NFL....

Like JJ Reddick - his podcasts is dope ASF

Paul George - dope and his conversations are good...

Pat McAfee - again PacMAn is a regular and Darius Butler comes on alot during the season....Other ex players join in and he even has ex coaches discuss scheme and etc. during the season...

XM RAdio - sam mitchell's show on the weekends (ex player and coach)

Like for me that's what I like listen to because no knock to the reporters, but you not getting that real real with them...

Because most of those people ain't real reporters.

Espn need to bring back real journalists with integrity and ability.

But they ran them all off.

In a way, I wish I never saw that Cam/Mase YouTube sports show. I just can't ever go back to this other shit, especially none of that 'company man' shit. I'm aware its not for everyone, but that is the thing in 2023. We all have options. It's not 2003 or even 2013. Sure is shit ain't the 90s. Way too many options.

I don't expect much from Disney since they have proven to be way out of touch and thus will fuck this up, but there will be a legacy media company that understands how shit is changing and puts itself in a position to eat big off this.

This younger generation primarily consumes YouTube and streams. They all got their favorite YouTubers, not folks legacy media handpicks and puts in front of them. And old heads in my age range(40s and up) are finally catching on to all the options they have.

"Stephen A Breaks His Silence"???

Now every time somebody comments after not immediately talking about something, we're gonna say they broke their silence?

The shit happened on Friday and Stephen A talked about it by like Monday! These YouTube folks can be so desperate to create drama-- Something is broken, all right...
