I would agree with you but.....It's Disney they've been pushing the Feminist agenda for the last few years, and It's In all Disney's media outlets. Movies, sports, TV everything. I'm not mad at women coming to the forefront, What gets me Is that they are tearing down well established and credible people/characters etc...to try and achieve the effect they want instead of letting the women stand on they're own merits to see If they can rise without dumbing shit down.
I don't know if it's "Disney" though.

Off hand: They got rid of true NBA professionals who've played /coached the game and have first hand knowledge of inner workings of the league to push Doris Burke (she's not bad but I'd rather have somebody that's been involved In the game like J will) Glen Rivers will be there but...we'll see. As far as, the Marvel movies and TV shows, All the prominent male characters Hulk, Thor, Moon knight, Dare Devil, Hawkeye and more were all dumbed down to push there female characters over the top. They had to do something to the powerful male characters, If they didn't most of the females they push wouldn't be able to do shit. Oh and Disney probably sets the rules and precedent for ESPN, Marvel, ABC, Starwars and whatever else they now own.

it was always more talking heads and journalists.
I'm not even sure having a majority of pro athletes is a positive. If you really a day one ESPN fan you KNOW a LOT of those people didn't usually translate well behind the desk.
But I agree the NEED for smart actual former players and coaches. When people you NEVER EVER PLAYED ON ANY LEVEL get to criticize professionals. But that's a whole OTHER THREAD!

All those characters weren't dumbed down to push UP females.
Hulk was always supposed to be dumb and Banner smart. And then they created smart hulk. He hasn't been dumb. Used improperly in She Hulk perhaps? Yes. But I wouldn't say dumb. And Daredevil was elevated on there giving him a strong comedic and sexy side that should help his solo series.
Isaac's was brilliant how was character dumbed down? It's straight out the comics. He is schizophrenic batman. Multiple personalities accents physical comedy? That didn't ELEVATE Scarab.
Hawkeye was Kate's HERO and inspiration mentor and father figure. Hawkeye lost his family became Ronin. And he is the least powerful Avenger. How is that dumbed down?
They created dumb jock Thor that was Taika idea which i do NOT like. But again how did it elevate valkyrie or Jane? The whole movie was some funny funny bullsh*t.
