No problem with her... I don't get the hate for her....
She was next in line after Van Gundy and Jackson... As long as Reddick didn't jump the line I'm good...
I would agree with you but.....It's Disney they've been pushing the Feminist agenda for the last few years, and It's In all Disney's media outlets. Movies, sports, TV everything. I'm not mad at women coming to the forefront, What gets me Is that they are tearing down well established and credible people/characters etc...to try and achieve the effect they want instead of letting the women stand on they're own merits to see If they can rise without dumbing shit down.I don't want to get into a whole thing
but I agree with you
I like her
OK deep breath
I don't have an issue with women in sports
at any level
To me its if your good or bad.
Yes I undestand agendas etc...
but the LOGIC train derails for me to make it sound like it's all woke mob fault
Yes these firings and cancellations and restructuring makes no sense to US
but that doesnt mean its WRONG
YET.
These folk getting paid millions to make these decisions
that don't mean its the RIGHT ones
but they investing millions in these decisions and have WAY MORE info than us.
So I gotta let them work.
I don't see this as political or woke
It APPEARS to me entirely an ego bad decisions bad advice and short sighted vision thing.
and DEFINITELY a money thing
Just on levels we common folk will never understand

Off hand: They got rid of true NBA professionals who've played /coached the game and have first hand knowledge of inner workings of the league to push Doris Burke (she's not bad but I'd rather have somebody that's been involved In the game like J will) Glen Rivers will be there but...we'll see. As far as, the Marvel movies and TV shows, All the prominent male characters Hulk, Thor, Moon knight, Dare Devil, Hawkeye and more were all dumbed down to push there female characters over the top. They had to do something to the powerful male characters, If they didn't most of the females they push wouldn't be able to do shit. Oh and Disney probably sets the rules and precedent for ESPN, Marvel, ABC, Starwars and whatever else they now own.I don't know if it's "Disney" though.
Haven't we seen female empowerment more PERIOD?
No pun intended
Can you give me some example of tearing down and dumbing down?
I honestly don't see all that.

OK, I refer dumbing down to mean loss of power. example: Hulk not being able to out perform she hulk In her Tv series.I tend to be the DC and marvel apologist on here.
And this ain't the thread for this but a quick aside
But I again I don't agree.
All those characters weren't dumbed down to push UP females.
Hulk was always supposed to be dumb and Banner smart. And then they created smart hulk. He hasn't been dumb. Used improperly in She Hulk perhaps? Yes. But I wouldn't say dumb. And Daredevil was elevated on there giving him a strong comedic and sexy side that should help his solo series.
Isaac's was brilliant how was character dumbed down? It's straight out the comics. He is schizophrenic batman. Multiple personalities accents physical comedy? That didn't ELEVATE Scarab.
Hawkeye was Kate's HERO and inspiration mentor and father figure. Hawkeye lost his family became Ronin. And he is the least powerful Avenger. How is that dumbed down?
They created dumb jock Thor that was Taika idea which i do NOT like. But again how did it elevate valkyrie or Jane? The whole movie was some funny funny bullsh*t.
Really sad hearing him talk about this-- Here's the video:

I like Doris. But damn, still enjoyed how Jackson and Van Gundy worked together. Some things should just be left alone.

Internet comments are not reflective of general opinion but I wonder if this reception is indicative of trouble Stephen A may have as he attempts to branch out.
Le Batard could do this with no problem but his brand is very much not “sports first,” it has always been “sports and.” That’s very different from the endless sports talk that Stephen A has built a following around, hours a day of just sports, inventing sports stories when there are none to talk about.
It's similar to black athletes, you have a certain place to them
Do you think Bomani would get this reaction? I don't. But I think Skip Bayless would. I think SAS/Skip have put themselves in a particular space, their first takes and disputes are supposed to be making mountains out of the slightest sports molehills, not talking about more interesting things as a Le Batard or Bomani might be expected to.
