it was around $500 or so.
2 Ottoman steaks
onion blossom, mashed potatoes,
2 glasses of water and 2 glasses of champagne
......oh yeah....the water aint free.....lol.
we skipped dessert.....they dont have much of a dessert menu. plus the pistachio ice cream was $100. so we passed on that.

$100 ice cream?

Good lawdddddd...you gotta be shitting me

Vincent Vega was tripping on a $5 milk shake..he'd have shot up the place for that kinda ice cream.

That's what minimum means..

So order another drink if that bothers you or go to a different establishment.

BTW

there are also places that automatically add a 20% gratuity to the bill..

I really don't see the issue. If they are trying to make the dining experience exclusive and that isn't for you then don't go there.

You could always go to Golden Corral and get the cube steak
Exactly.... it's like having a problem with a place that requires you to wear a suit and tie. Either I am going to put on a suit and tie or go to another place that doesn't require such things. If they don't want my money, then I aint going to fight to give them my money.

thats the one i had......Ottoman steak
that shit is huge.
however, they prepare everything medium rare. thats the only thing i dont like.
u get the steak quick, but have to end up sending it back to cook some more...(which takes about an extra 5 mins or so)
because if u order a steak (well done),...you will be waiting over an hour for it. so its best to just them do it medium rare, (which takes about 25 mins),
then have them send it back for an additional 5 or 10 and that shit be lit.

Even though I don't eat well done steak, this is smart. I was told many high end restaurants will use lower grade/quality steaks if the customer orders it well done.

Ordering it med rare then sending it back still gets you that high grade steak.

It's not difficult at all.

But it's not about being difficult it's about it being mandatory

What if you don't want a ton of food?
Then don't eat here your business isn't valuable?

Some dude’s really aren’t getting it.

It’s the “Mandatory” thing that’s the issue. Yes we can afford it, yes we’ll most likely spend more than $100 per person.

But mandating that a person has to spend over $100 is strange. I know why they’re doing it but I don’t like it.

Let me order a $98 dollar steak and a waiter tells me that I need to spend two more dollars. They’re gonna get

I already said in this thread that if I went to McDonald’s told me that I had to spend $10 I’d have an issue.

Just like I’d have an issue if I went to 7-Eleven and they told me that I had to buy a Slurpee.

It’s not about the money, it’s the principle.

And before any of those “But, but, but” dude’s chime in, I know that I don’t have to go to any of those places.

Other tables in the same restaurant had bottles of more expensive liquor.

Are they dimes? Bruh, I dated ALOT when I was out there...wayyy more than the average. But, I didn't just date dimes. I dated chicks I was into... sometimes I got fixed up on blind dates...cuz my brother's girl was always tryna fix me up with her friends...I'm the kinda dude who can enjoy dinner with just about anyone, at least once.

But I would say most that I fucked with were pretty cute..my dime might be your 7.

I'm curious...what do you mean by this..

"Niggas is paying more than I do for less quality chicks. I have seen it."

Yeah like I thought, that place is too expensive for what you had. Glad you liked it though.

For those who can afford it and adhere to the policies/standards more power to them:dunno:

Too expensive for my tastes. I won't be going. If I am going for a great dining experience I would rather do it with a stamped passport to try other cultures cuisine around the world. Ain't enough "atmosphere" in the world that dope for me to eat the same american style food I can get a lady friend to make for me or prepare it myself.

Rollies and Pasha's done drove me crazy
I can't even pronounce nothing, pass that versace!
Then I spent 400 bucks on this
Just to be like nigga you ain't up on this!

We been here with this mindset for along time, before Ye pointed it out, but this era..not just younger people, is the most narcissistic ever!

I love good food, but how much better is that $200 steak than one at a medium prices steakhouse? How is that experience hundreds of dollars better?

I spend that kinda money, I want guaranteed hot stock tips...fuck some live music.

Dysfunctional character trait on full display. Bunch of hood/trailer park rich clout chasers trying to one up others on trivial "I am exclusive" type of shit. People are remarkable.

It's understandable, tho...

When you ain't never had anything, work hard, and finally can reward yourself, it's HARRRRD not to go overboard... speaking from experience here.

Later, you find that shit you overspent on didn't really mean anything.

I could buy a house, cash, with the dumb shit I spent more than necessary on.

Ive been chasing that taste since. That was 4 years ago....Outback IS NOT FUCKIN WIT 801 Chophouse. One of the best things on this earth is Bone marrow butter

sounds like Steak 48 marketed itself into losing money/not making as much money per head as they are accustomed. And now, they have to try to fix it. but, how are you going to tell a customer that they have to spend at least $100?? Unless, the least expensive thing on the menu is $100.

Fuck it. Offer combo meals starting at $100. Steak + 2-sides + 2 drinks.

I absolutely HATE hearing bitches say Ayyyyeeeeeeee Ayyeeeeee Ayyyeeeeee over every little stupid ass thing. Fucking faggots
that shit a mating call to me
The same one where niggas fly to Brazil and pay niggas with boobs to blow their asshole open.
nigga my stomach was hurting and i had tears on my face when I finished laughing at this shit
Then you don't go to many high-end restaurants.

These aren't the types of places I go to all the time and already know with their menus what I will be spending so the minimum doesn't mean much...Actually, I have never been close to the minimum when there has been one.

Just did STK in Atlanta on the 15th for my daughter's graduation dinner...

Shit ain't new and as I said they have been doing it for years for large parties.

They also added gratuities.
the lil flaming cotton candy joint was cute. Tables maaaad close together in Vegas.

Never heard of this place until now. I don’t mind places having rules for their restaurant, just make sure you enforce them equally on everybody.

I remember going to New York at this supposedly upscale restaurant with a rooftop view over manhattan. I dressed up semi-formal. Once I got in there I seen bitches up in there with housecoats and house shoes still on, dudes with slides and small white tshirts like they just woke up and walked in without even washing their face or brushing their teeth. One bitch even had the head wrap still on. You can tell they do this shit on a regular. The place was nice, I just remember feeling like did I put too much energy for this? Granted I don’t remember there ever being a dress code policy, it’s just certain places you go you wanna present yourself well.

I go to fine dining restaurants probably once a week.
Maybe 2 years ago I thought I needed to dress up a LITTLE BIT
I went into a place and there were white women in there with bermuda shorts and flip flops on.

After that? I'm wearing what I'm wearing that day to go eat. If I'm dressed up then cool if I'm not then cool

$100 minimum is dumb shit.

There's a spot Blue Point Grille (it's got the E in the end so you know it's fancy )

The wife and I went just before shutdown last year, dressed up in dress slacks, shirt, tie and jacket...she had the heels and a form fitting but nice dress on....we're like cool.....

Mayne this group of hwyte ppl walked in ... flip flops, Bermuda shorts, Hawaiian shirts. Chicks had on halter tops..... I told my wife that's the last time we "dress up," but I'll be damned if we go anywhere nice like THAT. And they were loud and annoying.

I went to Alexander’s steakhouse in San Francisco and ordered the Waygu. I didn’t know they priced that shit by the ounce . No damn prices on the menu. I ordered the 9 ounce Jawn because a 3 ounce steak ain’t shit. My god damn bill was over $1000 between me and my wife and drinks and appetizers . My steak alone was $625 . Never again

You should have went to Harris, they have they own dry aging room, you can see everything through the window, and its better than Alexanders.
Even Lolinda in the mission or 5A5 is better, shit House of Prime is great.
Holla at the kid when you wanna eat in SF, ol over the bridge ass ninja
