A sprained knee is more than just some ailment, minor injury. It limits mobility, running, jumping, stopping on a dime, lateral movement, literally everything he does on the court. I don't see what's the big deal of him saying he wasn't 100% when anyone in their right mind could see he wasn't. Stating the obvious does not equal making excuses. They have an extra hand, not a Big 6 but a 4. However the biggest difference in my opinion is this Superteam is very one dimensional. They are a perimeter based team and thats where they strength starts and ends. They aren't as dynamic as Miami's big 3 with LeBron's versatility, Bosh's ability to play in the post and Wades all around athleticism and slashing ability.
There is a lot that they have to do to build the team or at least scheme around this team to make it work. With LeBron, Bosh and Wade, you could literally throw the ball up and let them take turns on who does what.
I still feel like, when LeBron and Bosh went to Miami, them winning a chip was more of a foregone conclusion (even though they didn't win it in the first year) than this GS team. The hype is based on how great a team GS has had, there record over the past two years and them going to back to back finals.
I caution everyone to pump their brakes on christening them the best team ever type shit though. This is NOT the same team that went to back to back finals, won 140 games over the past two seasons... 40% of their key players are gone, and even if they weren't superstars, the take a lot of team Chemistry with them. Team AVERAGED 70 wins two seasons in a row and made it to back to back finals... You act like all of their key players will be retiring after this coming season...
