Had the pleasure of meeting him years ago, Cool dude. My potna I was with didn't know shit about sports. So I started imitating his broadcast in front of him. Had a good laugh.

yeah, this is kinda shocking to me. ESPN will never be the same. I guess he knew now when you look back on that speech, so I guess he was preparing us, his daughter, the sports world that his time will be up soon. Totally shocked today, feel for the daughter since I seen her come on stage, she looked like a daddy's girl. Wow, wasn't expecting this. I turned to ESPN to see the scores, I see everyone crying, i'm like WTF going on. When they said Stuart Scott dead, I stopped eating. ESPN will not be the same, dude was damn near family, got use to seeing him.
R.I.P Stu. I didn't always like your broadcasting, but your voice will be missing on that network.

I remember when he debuted on sportscenter as well. He made it must watch television for a lot of us.
Stu did a ton for sports journalism, black sports journalism, pop culture, black culture, and young black aspiring journalist every year.
He was truly a ground breaking legend.
Im actually shocked he made it this long after that ESPY ceremony. He didnt look well there. Lasting and fighting as long as he did is a testament to his strength.
