Damn. Came in here to shit on the Joker on some Steve Nash shit, but looked at the numbers. That cat lead his team in EVERYTHING by far. I was just discussing Lebron doing that on this board.
Mind you, that's off just numbers. I don't follow Denver so don't know what the squad is without him. Are they a lottery squad? Fuck is the center(no matter how good a passer) doing leading the squad in assists(8 a game)?
Hard to argue Embid though.
But which squad is lottery without their guy. Hell, I can say with certainty without Lebron that 2016 Cavs championship squad wouldn't even make the fucking playoffs, yet no MVP for him.

Why would it matter what playoff seed you are in? I honestly don't get the logic.
I think Jokic is the right choice. Embiid is deserving, Giannis too. But Yokic earned it too and most importantly on a lesser team. Giannis is on a championship team. Philly stacked, the rook Maxey might be better than everybody on Denver outside of Jokic. Jokic led his team in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals. So I give him a little leeway on playing D, but keep in mind he has more steals (& rebounds) than Embiid.

Usually a lower seed is getting bounced in the 1st round. More times than not. For instance, they just awarded the MVP to a dude that is sitting at home and it's only the second round. MVP aka "Best Player" in the league ain't even playing. That's wild.

You just get out? You're not familiar with how Jokic plays the game? He's a playmaking center. They literally run the entire offense through him. You didn't watch None of the Bubble games at least. Embiid still my MVP pick because of his impact on the ENTIRE floor. He effects the game on both ends which as an effect on that win loss column.
