Only way I see them justifying it is that Negan is clearly the stronger army and doesnt need to kill them and his Army gets bigger by adding them to it.

The suspense leading up to Negan was GREAT and I have no problem who they picked to play the character. Picking someone that looks more brute would have been too predictable and dry, especially if the acting suffers for the image.
So I guess we're left hanging till next season. I don't think the women are as "safe" as everyone thinks.

It wasnt about caping tho. They knew eventually they would have to cross paths and so they decided to take the inevitable fight to them and in the process broker a deal to get food and supplies for the group already getting extorted. It was also a deal made out of necessity as they were running low on resources and food. Their mistake was not fully understanding the numbers and capabilities of their enemy and starting a war on very limited knowledge.
Still woulda had to deal with these cats at some point tho.

I disagree. I think once they started killing humans they transitioned into something else. Something they feel they needed to evolve into in order to survive. I think the indecisive ones are Morgan and Carol (obviously), the rest have let Rick set the tone and are following their leader.
Man they were so well orchestrated and organized im sure they planned and cleared all that out. Remember they even had a fucking chain gang of Walkers used as a road block. Had Monster trucks or Caterpillar machines knocking down and stacking timber for another roadblock..
Thats my guess as well. Just based on him giving Rick the bullet recipe and Abe telling him how much he trusted him and that he was a survivor. Wouldnt mind if its the guy the comic coons say it was either tho. That would be more of an emotional ride...

Crazy part is that for all of his men Negan doesn't really have much firepower. Most of those guys are armed with pickaxes. Some not even armed at all. He mentioned that Rick stole "A lot of our guns". There was maybe 20 rifles in that cache they got a few episodes back.

Yeah my heart was racing the entire show. I highly doubt one of the women got it. If they showed a WOMAN got beat to death with a BAT COVERED WITH BARBWIRE i'm sure they'd get major backlash being labeled as promoting violence against women
