That dude has a tiger and treats people fairly. And if I wanted to kill him, how the fuck I'm sneaking up on someone with a tiger?!?!? Fuck that. I'm not even trying to shoot a cat with a tiger unless I got an AK and 30 rounds.

In this world, someone should be taking him out first chance they get unless he is super skilled in physical combat. It's not like Negan got some type of plug that no one has access to. They haven't shown him doing some chuck norris shit on 3-4 attackers, and even so, that don't stop someone from omar'ing him in the back of the head. You can't tell me there aren't numerous cats in that camp plotting on him if it's just him, that fucking bat, and charisma. That's just people. In order to be the alpha he is put out to be, he would have to be lethal with his hands(or be so physically intimidating like blackbeard that cats just don't try him) along with charisma.
I agree now because they went fucking overboard with the kneeling and wife shit. Like I said, they could have shown him doing some chuck norris shit on some cats, but they didn't. In a world where basically everyone is a killer and has probably lost loved ones, his shit isn't going to ride for long unless he is physically intimidating and/or lethal with his hands.
I haven't checked the comic, but something tells me the negan in the comic is what we are asking for on the screen.

Who says he isn't though? We didn't see his rise to power. We did see how he breaks people (Rick) we did see how CRAZY this guy is. We don't know what he did in order to gain the favor of the original crew..who then spread his story.. He ain't afraid of murder or making a point. I mean isn't Negan just a republican president? Follow me and bow to me... i don't treat you great BUT AT LEAST YOU'RE NOT THEM! and sends them out to feel important collecting shit from other groups?

Negan is physically intimidating, muscular, and was actually modeled after Henry Rollins (one of many actors fans suggested would be effective playing the role). That said, Negan is more than just a giant hulking, destroying Terminator-like beast.
None of which describes what we are getting on screen, so something is indeed lost in translation. I do get we didn't see his rise, but it would just take a quick fight scene of him dismantling a few cats to somewhat so why people are kneeling to him(still wouldn't explain why he hasn't been popped by now pulling that shit on his own people). I swear to fucking christ they better not have rick or daryl hemming him up in a fight.
Remember, when kings pulled shit like him, there were assassination attempts all the time. They wouldn't even eat their fucking food without folks tasting it first.

I say we give it time. He's been in about 2 and a half episodes during which he's brutally murdered 2 MAIN CHARACTERS, broke the leader of the group we've been watching since season 1, had him about to chop off the arm of his own son, is putting Darryl thru the ringer and fucked some dudes wife and has him working for him.
That's a pretty fucking epic start to him right?
We can see a fight scene when it's time to fight.. right now there's no reason to fight, he's done his fighting presumably and now we're seeing the well oiled machine at the peak..which means its going to come crashing down obviously but still, now isn't the time to see him handling cats. that still might come up during this season but you don't walk around with a swag like that without showing you can do some shit. He did SOMETHING that warranted the allegiance he's getting. we just haven't seen that yet.
Because Zeke is smart enough to realize he doesn't have as many soldiers as Negan...unlike Rick and them..who were like FUCK IT we can just do what we want..take out Negan real quick and then go back to Alexandria...which how did that flimsy plan of arrogance work out for them?
It's clearly going to take an Alliance of MULTIPLE groups to beat him. Remember Rick and them took out an entire base basically and that wasn't even the main fucking group Negan had.. that was "some of his men" he didn't say majority or most or all of he said "some" and in return he was only going to kill 1 member of their group.. so let's just say that's the fair ratio.. x of negan men is equivalent to 1 of rick's crew that was there..?

who's to say they were living life on the run before Negan got there? we don't know that. They could have been just fine. We see they have weapons, they produce stuff, they provide and keep the community going. So without Negan, how would that collapse? They can still trade and and get along with the other communities. No need to to strong arm anything.
Their society could work with Neagqn gone but like any dictatorship, Negan's inner circle aka the guys who get to keep guns, eat and fuck who they want are living good and don't want to lose that power. So having a asshole as a leader who will degrade people and keep slave labor kinda justify them not doing anything.
MAYBE they could...it's pretty apparent they're not willing to chance it tho so they stay in line
