My take:T Dawg was the reason i started watching this show. I kept seeing posters on BGOL bringing his name up saying how somebody/something was as useless as "T-Dog" and how he was on a show but never had any lines, That breakdown is pretty much spot on
T-dawg- Typical gangsta appeal that was used to play of Merle. Little use after that but every now and then got a line. He wanted off and the show obliged.
Tyreese- seemed like a normal dude. Protected his, cared about his woman, and helped took care of them white kids. He had integrity. This was a bullshit kill because he lives a lot longer in the comics. Daryl took his place.
Noah- wasn't built for the outside zombie life. Typical new age millennial soft as rabbit ass. However, I kind of like the fact they showed more range in black men than just aggesssive and acting careless like T-dawg.
Bob- meant for a white character and he played the part well. I don't know how much he could have contributed if he lived. Didn't have the fight in him and he seemed too aloft for the present world. He was good on being taken out.
Father Gabriel- He is a religious man that is also a hypocrite. Message.
Morgan- I like the fact he has a code. He's annoying with it when it comes to a situation where it's obvious he has to fight which I think he will. He just hasn't come to terms with it. He's a good dude and he can fight. He's interesting enough to keep.
"King" Ezekiel- Written like the comics and is an opportunist. Very pragmatic and doesn't take chances. Not taking risks at the right time will backfire.
Since you spoiling it for ppl in this thread who don't read the books, even though that's true, He is not the problem they are facing right now, so like I stated it shouldn't carry on another season
so they run into another group where they all follow one person, and that person seems to control everything? Did they practice those hand gestures? What's the criteria for joining a group? They all were able to find matching clothes? Rick just comes out and tells them they want to take down the saviors? What if they were familiar with the group and aligned with them? How did they get that armor on the zombie?
i no longer find this show as good as it once was. i am at a point where i am just watching to see what happens. really don't care anymore.
that whole junkyard scene was terrible. the people. the "armored" walker. rick acting goofy as fuck. where the fuck is this show headed.
the show has gotten so bad i don't even watch the talking dead anymore. they don't have shit to talk about.
i think that this show jumped the shark after negan and the bat scene then followed up by that talking dead with all of the cast members.

I'm starting to feel the same way. All these breakdowns of the black characters have me reminiscing about how much i liked the previous seasons but like u said this whole "negan" storyline just hasn't done it for me. When they were showing previews of that armored zombie last week i actually thought ALIENS were about to be apart of the show..lol. When i got KODI i went back and found some old episodes of "The Talking Dead" to watch after i'd watch an old episode of TWD but haven't really been watching it as much this season
The show been downhill,the only reason why I picked it up again last season is because I wanted to see,how the bat scene would translate on screen....
The majority of the episodes are basically filler while having good episodes here and there.

So I happened to notice a MAJOR plot hole. Maybe someone can explain it.
First Darryl kills Fat Joey. Turns out he was a demolition expert that was setting up a booby trap to kill a huge horde of walkers.
The walkers come, but Neagan doesn't have anybody on lookout making sure the trap works?
The trap had a shit load of dynamite, but nobody investigates when only one stick goes off?
Finally, Rick and Michone attack the horde with a steel cable stretched between two cars. Not only would this be almost impossible to pull off (they never agreed on how fast to go, but somehow match speeds perfectly), but the cable is going to cut most walkers across the chest or waist. That will slow the horde down, but it won't stop it. It would have easily overrun their entire world by the time last night's episode took place, yet we only see two walkers in the entire episode?!!
It seems like the writers have something epic planned or they no longer give a fuck about the show.

The writers have made it a point to bichify every Black man on the show. I realized that when they let Ricks character beat the hell out of Chad Coleman's character. In the comic they actually exchanged blows and dude was about that life.
They gave everyone in thr Governors stable a name except for the Black dude. They just called him The Bowman.

His name was Shumpert. His name was mentioned multiple times in season 3 and again in season 4 when Gov asked Martinez about him.

I know the name they officially gave him. But during the end of the season they had one of those farewell segments listing the characters from they colony and they simply named him "The Bowman"

I admit, the show has gone downhill pretty fast after Negan. Some shows like the strain completely lost me and I jump ship after season 2. I forgot about The Walking Dead Sunday night and just downloaded it to watch it about 3 hours ago when I was off all day.
That's how motivated I was to watch the show
Eh, Negan to me was the best thing to happen to the show. The character is just fucking awesome.
With the exception of Shane there hasn't been a character in the show with so many quotables
But that green screen work was bad
