Rosita has despised Eugene for a longgggg time because of his cowardly ways so she was just at her breaking point with him. I laughed at how Eugene had grown some balls and was talking all that shit to Father Gabriel and then when Daryl them grabbed him quickly went back into whiny bitch mode...lol
Negan just completely fucked himself.
First, he sends Dwight a fake plan which Gregory dispatches to the hilltop. At the end of the episode he completely contradicts this fake plan to Michonne.

his original plan was to circle the hilltop and conduct a "war of attrition" where he would pick the members off one by one. Instead he really planned to reenact Simon's plan.

the message rick got was they are going to be surrounded and those points are going to be held.
Eugene is 100% loyal to himself. Negan offered him a way better opportunity than Rick did.
Shit, Eugene literally kept the lights on and found a way to feed everyone at Alexandria but still couldn't get any respect. Negan saw his potential and put him in charge of his own outpost.
Rick won't kill him. Eugene is like those Nazi rocket scientists that kickstarted the US space program after the war.

Rick killing Eugene would be the one dramatic moment that would get this show back on track. Rick doesn’t know that Eugene is the one that got the Saviors out when Ricks crew had them trapped in their building, so imagine after the battle with Negan, Eugene ends up back at the Hilltop and Rosita goes off on him again and starts telling how he’s the reason thye’ve lost people and how he was the one the freed the Saviors. The whole time Rick has that look on his face and is having flashbacks and then has a flashback of Carl and figures if it wasn’t for Eugene that Carl would still be alive; next thing you know he steps and BOOM!!!!
They shoulda just killed Eugene. I hate a muthafuckin' coward. Episode was filler otherwise.

Hey team Rick; don't know if you noticed but Daryl and Rosita are the ones who want to kill Eugene. Not Rick.
Darryl is now the only one wants to kill DeWhite.
I just gave the scenario on what would make Rick kill Eugene. Eugene needs to die but Rosita or Daryll killing him won't have the same dramatic effect it would if Rick did it
There's no reason to kill Eugene. Rick just needs to make him a better offer than Negan did.
Eugene is not a traitor. He's more like your favorite football player going free agent and signing with a rival team for more money

You’re joking right. If you’re helping one group fight another group and then you change groups and help that group fight your old group then you are a traitor. Eugene has needed to die for a long time simply because he is a coward, Abraham should’ve killed him when he admitted he lied about knowing the cure. He’s supposed to be a smart scientist but his cowardice has kept him from doing anything productive with Ricks group, but now is using to help the Saviors, once by helping tho free them from being trapped in their building and now is using it again to help the Saviors by making them bullets
If Abraham would have killed Eugene Alexandria's electric grid would have stayed broken which means no running water either. They also wouldn't have known about growing the sorghum that saved them from starvation. He was every bit as loyal and useful to Rick and the gang as they were to him.
Yes, he helped the saviors escape, but then he was trapped in that building too. Was he supposed to just roll over and die? If your "friends" pulled some shit like that wouldn't you make bullets to kill them?

Yea i been watching this shit at my leisure. I just finished catching up. And yea man, Atlanta is fucking hilarious.
This season has been a huge letdown. Everything from bad storylines, horrible pacing, unbelievable scenarios, to characters doing things totally against their character.
