Just finished watching episodes 6 and 7 of The World Beyond.

Good episodes!

Janis gave a partial backstory on her origin, mainly on how we saw her in her debut in the junkyard up to seeing her now in the Civic Republic Military. She is a interrogator in the “Gestapo” part of the CRM.

She also gave reference to Rick and gave a hint on why he was taken by the CRM.

The episodes also gave us what the CR/CRM is up to and their goals.

It’s definitely leading up to the Rick Grimes movies.

Episode 8 debuts later tonight on amc. I will watch it in the morning.

Only two more episodes after tonight with the Series Finale. With what is about to play out, a number of these characters definitely will not make it to the end.

Looking forward to it!

‘Tales Of The Walking Dead’ Anthology Spinoff Series Gets Greenlight By AMC

AMC is further expanding The Walking Dead universe with Tales of the Walking Dead, a new episodic anthology spinoff series set for AMC and AMC+.

Each one-hour standalone episode of Tales of the Walking Dead will focus on both new and established characters set in the world of the original series, which wraps its run after its current Season 11.

The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead writer-producer Channing Powell will showrun Tales, working closely with Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of the Walking Dead Universe. An initial season of six episodes is expected to go into production early next year and premiere on AMC+ and AMC next summer.

“The Walking Dead is a show that made television history and attracted an army of passionate and highly engaged fans,” said Dan McDermott, president of original programming for AMC Networks and AMC Studios. “We see so much potential for a wide range of rich and compelling storytelling in this world, and the episodic anthology format of Tales of the Walking Dead will give us the flexibility to entertain existing fans and also offer an entry point for new viewers, especially on streaming platforms. We have seen the appeal of this format in television classics like The Twilight Zone and, more recently, Black Mirror, and are excited to engage with fans in this new way, against the backdrop of this very unique and engrossing world.”

Said Gimple: “This series, more than any other in the Walking Dead Universe, runs on new voices, perspectives, and ideas — bringing to life stories unlike any we’ve told before,” Gimple said. “I’m thrilled to be Channing’s consigliere, helping in every way I can to make those new visions real for the best fans in TV.”

Added Powell: “I started as a fan of The Walking Dead and have ended up as a showrunner of what will hopefully be one of its most unique spinoffs. That’s nuts and I’m so grateful to AMC and Scott for supporting me and my writers while we pushed, pulled and poked at the boundaries of this universe to bring you something new and unexpected, while hopefully still tending to what core audiences loved so much about the flagship show.”

Mothership series The Walking Dead will premiere the second half of its 11th and final season in February. The first spinoff in TWD Universe, Fear The Walking Dead, is currently airing its seventh season, and the most recent spinoff The Walking Dead: World Beyond is airing its second season. A Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride-led spinoff also is well in the works.

The Walking Dead and other series in the Walking Dead Universe have been top titles on the AMC+ streaming service, both in usage and new subscriber acquisitions. New episodes premiere a week early on AMC+, offering an exclusive window ahead of linear premieres on AMC.

Walking Dead World Beyond

Just finished watching the last episodes of the series.

No big spectacular stuff happened in the two episodes.

Janis disclosed why Omaha was destroyed and why Portland is next. She also gave some insight on her dealings with Rick on the “A” and “B” reference to him.

Two primary characters got killed off.

The series finale just ended showing the status of the primary surviving characters and what they will be doing in future projects when they pickup.

Now, the best part of the whole series was the mid-credit scene introducing a new character. We got a throwback on a character not seen since season one of the Walking Dead giving some insight on the Dead apocalypse. The new character gave some information in relation to the early days of the apocalypse along with a teaser on the apocalypse origin.

The final scene with the character could possibly be a game changer in the Walking Dead universe if what I saw turns out to be true. It will definitely amp up the Walking Dead universe in future projects for sure.

That’s it.

The series is a slow burn, but mainly introduced new primary characters into the Walking Dead Universe and gave some useful information on the Circle Republic/Circle Republic Military who will be a primary backdrop when the future Rick Grimes and other projects kick off.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamnnnnnnnn, this thread used to pop.
Watched the last episode and it's a rinse repeat sort of deal. I hate the gay ass sign language boys face. He makes the most LGBTQ faces I've ever seen.

Watch the first 3 episodes of Part 2 this afternoon.

The first episode was good going back to the good old days of fighting zombies.

The 2nd episode jumped in time 6 months and then went back 30 days after the group decided to join the Commonwealth.

We didn’t get any solid information on why they made the decision, but it somewhat looks like they are scheming their way thru the Commonwealth.

Seeing Daryl and Rosita joining the Commonwealth military is a somewhat red flag that they are up to something.

Episodes are a slow burn, but we are getting more info on the Commonwealth which is good.

Just watched episodes 12 and 13.

We found out who the real “Stephanie” that was on the radio with Eugene last season.

The Governor of Commonwealth did her tour of the communities, looks like Maggie decision not to join them is smart.

Episode 13 was a damn good. Good use of the “double back” sequence” Classic Walking Dead on how it played out with the twists. Actor Michael Biehn (Terminator) had a cameo and played his role on point.

That ignorant Lance obviously is trying to take out the Governor with his scheming. She obviously is aware of it.

The ex-CIA Black Ops Agent is added plus. Hope he sticks it out in the series.

Three more episodes left for the mid-season.

Will let those 3 episodes stack up and binge them all at once.

Looking forward to them.

Watched the last 3 episodes this morning.

Surprised to see Neagan confront Hershel. Looking like they setting it up for Neagan, Maggie and Hershel to be a family in their spin-off series.

That mofo Sebastian needs to be taken out ASAP.

Kinda Fucked up Leah fell into Lance’s nonsense just so she could get her revenge. She paid for it unfortunately.

Lance accomplished his goal of seizing all 3 communities in his goal to take over the Commonwealth.

Still no confirmation if the Commonwealth is associated with the Circle Republic, I will assume the CR knows of their existence.

Looking forward to the next season.

The actress, who has played Carol since the start of the zombie drama, will no longer star opposite Norman Reedus in the planned offshoot set for 2023.
