seriously just swap out brady to the colts and peyton to the pats and think about how well they'd do

I know Brady would win less games and I know Peyton wouldn't

I still think Brady is a great QB. Seriously I hate the pats but I think Brady is a great player. Dude took less money to keep a teammate and mgmt fucked him and he didnt bitch and moan. Him leaving ends that whole empire

dont even mention field goals

man i think every vinitierri miss is on purpose

fuckin vanderjack :smh:

man you know the colts are fucked even worse now that there biggest defensive stopper is gone- Brady could have a picnic in the pocket, cook steaks fuck some supermodels, watch em give birth then throw a 20yd pass to welker(sp?)

people don't understand how vital the oline is to the game Brady has all day back there this year and look at what he is doing.

The kicking problems for the colts continue, in addition to all the injuries. Everything about the colts is timing if you lose your right and left starting tackles your 1st receiver Harrison and 3rd receiver Gonzolas and 4th receiver Moorehead plus a banged up tight end and running back. Lose for the season your run stopper McFarland and your pass rusher Freeney and expect him to be amazing and throw 40 TD a game you are out of your fucking mind.

And the kicking i swear they have a hex on them or something cause i can't explain this shit when Vinitari missed the chipshot when this guy is used to kicking shit 40 yards in a blizzard i don't know what to say.

but anyways this is about Manning and Brady and these two aren't shit without their offensive line period end of discussion the one with the function oline is breaking records the guy with the patchwork oline is still 9-2  when they switch situations then we can have a who is the greatest debate. So far Brady has always been in the better situation hmmmm :hmm:

did you know that Manning and Brady play 16 games during the year before the playoffs? Your replys sound like you didn't know that your whole theory seems to rest on a few play off games. :smh:

i'll spell it out for you and try not to insult you or your intelligence

1) Brady has always been in manageable games due to his offensive line and defense period end of discussion. This is very important because it means Brady isn't asked to do too much except manage the game keep getting first downs or drive 40 yards to kick a field goal instead of score TDs to catch up. You know who helps somebody do that??? DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <- the pats are/were in the top 5-10 every year from the day Brady took over for the team.
2) playoff loses should not be the only benchmark for a persons entire career. <- i can't even believe i have to say that shit
3) for christ sake football is a team sport. Meaning both brady and Manning are unstoppable when their offensive line holds and their receivers catch the ball.

you want me to send you a fax or write in braille?:confused::confused:

Manning fans are telling me that Brady has more rings due to his elite defense. Yet, they are dodging Peyton's performances in the playoff losses. Sure playoff losses arent the sole benchmark of a QB, but playoff games are pressure situations. Playoff losses stop you from winning the Super Bowl. Certain quarterbacks frequently prosper under pressure and certain QBs quilt. We know what describes which QB in this thread.

Without McFarland and Freeney, the Colts still have the 2nd ranked defense in the NFL and the kicker that "lead" the Pats to the rings according to you idiots. There shouldnt be an excuse this season for Peyton correct?

Brady fans ignore defense special teams and the offensive line and think somehow brady is doing all this on his own. If your whole theory is about playoff performances how come you never include last years divisional game where manning came back and brady chocked? :hmm:

Who was the opponent in the game youre talking about?
NE?
Who was that holding him to 14-31 and 2 int? NE Defense?

I read that wrong. He got those stats against the Jets defense. The 15th ranked defense that season.

Here is the difference between me and you. Tom Brady failed in the AFC championship game last year. I admit that. Peyton Manning made a ten year career of failing dating back to his days at Tennessee before breaking through. This game is played to win championships. You know that. I will never be naive to say that Tom Brady is doing it on his own. No football player has ever did anything on his own. Is he the major cog of their success? You better believe it.

1999 vs Tennessee-0 sacks
2000 vs Miami-0 sacks
2002 vs New York-1 sack
2003 vs New England-4 sacks
2004 vs New England- 1 sack
2005 vs Pittsburgh- 5 sacks

I guess it was the offensive lines fault for him not winning the super bowl either.

at what point did you drop out of school? just curious

i also clearly stated that he lost 2 starting offensive linemen and 2 starting receivers in my points about the colts injuries for this year.

See this is the joke everybody treats brady like he does this all by himself where as Manning they hold it against him. You just said that for brady its a team thing and he is a major cog but for manning some how its all his fault every year he is on a team that loses :smh:

i can't have a debate with you you aren't even making any sense. Last time i checked football was a team sport. Both of them are only as good as the team around them.

ok cool - i wasnt saying Peyton can't play well against good defenses- actually I think no one plays better than him at QB - all things considered

I was just alluding to the fact that although you can overpower other teams with a lopsided team that relies primarily on its offense-Colts or defense -Ravens, that shit won't work against balanced teams. Brady has a balanced team. Its offense and defense are great. Its defense has surpassed its offense by far in the past. So I dont think you can compare Brady and Manning as if all things are equal on their squads. I think you have to check out their abilities and compare them rather than going to win loss records or rings.

I think if you compare the two you get-

Peyton-
analyze defenses
great arm
great control
good leader
never out of the game- never(unless he's literally out of the game)

Brady-
Great Discipline
Doesnt Rattle Easily
Great Arm
Great Control

Under different systems I think Brady is better than Manning and vice versa.

Brady analyzes defenses too my dude. He had to, with the trash he had at wide receiver.

I was always a Montana over Marino guy myself, as nice as Dan was and as much as I loved seeing him play.

Manning is like Marino with a running game and defense and better receivers, IOW with a ring LOL

Brady is like Montana. Gotta go with Montana again.

Before the colts played the pats this season I would have said peyton. Peyton lost that game against the patiots by giving the ball to R. Colvin. he showed me that he is a great player but when the pressure is on he does not rise. Tom brady has "IT" Which is not Quantifiable by stats or rings. I can't explain it but he has that quality that would make me pick him over peyton. Peyton is a QB's QB just like Marino. But Tom brady and Montana have "IT" that cannot be analyzed by stats. It is not Moss or Rice, besides Joe cool won two rings before Rice came to the 49ers. Sometimes players in sports don't have to accumulate a lot of statistics but can inlfuence games their entire career with an overwhleming presence. I'd go with Brady, but slightly.

I def Agree:yes: What do you think about it

This is the kind of class act teammate Brady is (as opposed to Manning, who's been known to publicly snipe at his offensive line and others):

Tom Brady backs Randy Moss

By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff November 30, 07 11:53 AM

FOXBOROUGH -- Patriots quarterback Tom Brady came to the defense of receiver Randy Moss today. Brady was asked to respond to remarks made by ESPN "Monday Night Football" analyst Ron Jaworski that Moss took plays off last Sunday against the Eagles.

"I have never, ever felt he has taken plays off. Are you kidding me? There is nothing there about Randy's game that I'm not 100 percent positive on," Brady said at his Gillette Stadium locker.

"Randy is an extremely mentally tough person and people have criticized him since the day he got here. People have pre-judged him and stereotyped him. He's been nothing but a positive influence on this team, on this locker room, and his performance speaks for itself. He's probably the most feared offensive player in the game, so what somebody says outside of this locker room means nothing."

Moss leads all Patriots skill-position players (non-quarterbacks) in snaps played and has been an ironman in that regard. Brady pointed out that was reflective of Moss' work ethic, and then zeroed in on the offense's performance against the Eagles.

"We had 54 pass attempts in a game, and you go out and tell a world-class sprinter to run 15, 50-yard dashes, the idea is 'you better have it when you need it.' And Randy is a smart player and he knows when he needs it," Brady said. "I have so much trust in him. He's been everything that we hoped for, a great leader. There is nobody that has more respect for what he's done than the quarterback of this team, which is me, and along with that, the other receivers he plays with. He's the most feared player in the game, that speaks for itself."

Payton, until last year, was the ultimate big game choke artist..and you are right...that shit goes way back to his Tennessee days when he would chock up against Florida, etc every year

I guess you're right. It worked for the Raiders.
how does bringing up the raiders have shit to do with what hes done in new england?

his stats say fuck you stfu to anyone trying to criticize his game

talk all the shit u want about the raiders and vikings but what has he done wrong in NE?

jaws is acting like a bitch by saying what he said

Brady, no question.

Brady won Superbowls with the likes of Deion Branch, David Patten, David Givens, Bethel Johnson, Troy Brown, JJ Stokes...

Where are these guys now? Deion Branch looks mediocore in Seattle and every Pats fan has a great appreciation for Troy Brown, but he's barley #2 on most any other team. The rest? These guys, for the most part, had good hands (I don't remember many dropped balls) but they weren't exceptional WRs. Brady had to fit the ball, many times, in some tight spaces.

Manning is really good, but he looks much worse with out Harrison, and he can look downright horrible when under constant pressure.

They're in the same league but there's no question Brady>Manning

I really think Brady and Moss should be Co-MVPs. They are both equally as important to the Pats.

Not so much. Moss is good but pair him with a bum QB and he wouldn't do shit. I hate Brady cause I'm a Colts fan but I respect the man and if you put him on a team with no weapons at all, he would still pick apart defenses. I don't care who is the best, Brady and Manning will go down as the two best QBs ever.
