I feel like that was some poor writing to have Jaq do that. I know they tried to give her the motivation by what happened to her sister but it still made no sense. Like did she really think stealing that bag was gonna stop drugs.

Ir just seemed like a way to set her against Sully and Dushane so they could end it the way they did.

And they couldn't have a better ending for the main character than that? Disappointed

Dushane went out similar to how Stringer went out. Trusted people with his money to invest it so he can go legit, both get robbed and then killed
You right, but at least Stringer got to man up for a second and face it. They coulda handled the Top Boy betta than they did.

Stef shudda done off Sully, or his daughter.

Nah, that's the one thing they got right this season IMO.

Jaq's turn was rushed, lazy writing IMO that made no sense and had no real payoff.

Dushane catching that body was also sloppy writing that didn't fit the character. They had too much going on with him and it was a bit of overkill.

That chase and death in Summerhouses felt a lot like the ending of Heat to me.

The storyline that didn't make any sense was Stef and Aaron.

Aaron dipped and left his brother in a group home.

I felt what was really rushed was Lauryn going from weak and pregnant, to being a killer to being a crackhead

They could have added another episode or made it 8, to include that and Jaq's guilt building. Especially since for Sully that speech he gave Jan was pretty thoughtful.

No doubt.

But there was no way to make a character like Jaq change like that in a couple of episodes.

They should have just had Dushane snake them by following Jaq to the house they were stashing the drugs, rob the drugs without anyone knowing, and having Sully turn on and threaten Jaq and her family thinking she was behind it which would cause a divide between them.

Then Sully figures out it was Dushane and you can have their story end the same way.

Later, Jaq takes out Sully since he'd already threatened her and her family.

So I'm not the only one

I thought Sully sucked as an actor at first, but he really grew into that roll unlike the shit we see on Power

During this season, I was like damn....

Yeah he's definitely become a damn good actor despite being pretty bad in the beginning.

That scene with him and Stef was powerful, especially when he told him he hadn't felt anything in years and that he was alright with what Stef had to do. That brother deserves a BAFTA for that scene alone.
