TV News: Bloody Thursday: 12 + Shows Cancelled - Rosewood, Powerless

It sucks that Rosewood is cancelled.
Morris Chestnut was great in it and the women were bad (his partner and sister). Shit, I even think the sista who played his momma is sexy as hell.
It was a cool little show to watch on a Friday night to wind down to at the end of the week.

This is why I don't watch TV. One of my friends told me about Rosewood about a week ago and I started binge watching. I finished the season finale Monday night. Saw a thread about Rosewood on the first page only to learn it was canceled. Fuck network TV.

I hear you on that. It's tough to get into many series these days not knowing how long they'll be around for. Props to the specialty cable networks for actually allowing shows to tell their stories. HBO, FX, Showcase, Showtime, Cinemax and more allowing their shows to do their thing, no matter how strong their ratings are over time, or if they fall off season-to-season. So many damn shows past and present actually got a chance to shine ... The Wire, The Sopranos, Justified, Fargo, The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, Weeds, Boardwalk Empire, The Shield, etc.

nonetheless its too much damn tv on ...

Agreed. So many damn shows across many networks. Hard to keep up with everything ... and even then you realize you've only seen 5 - 10% of what you want to see ... and have a shitload of downloads & DVR'd episodes still on standby. Or shows that are hot right now ... that you eventually get around to months/years later. TV is definitely shitting on many of the crappy movie selections out there.

:crymeariver: no more Kat Dennings titties on television

Fuck they cancelled Son of Zorn. That was my shit. I know people were sleeping on it but it was actually really funny.

I don't know why Fox even bothers green lighting shows anymore. They shit can everything good before giving it a chance to build up an audience. But they keep running Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Idol until the end of time.

Going to miss American Crime. The show had fantastic writing and acting.
I'm going to check it out on your word. It's hard to get connected to a TV show because they either keep moving it around or they cancel it before it can really get going. I started watching Rosewood and it was pretty good but by the second season you could tell they were cutting costs. I like Morris Chestnut as an actor but he can't seem to stick to anything that last

"Rosewood" and "American Crime" are the two most surprising cancellations on this list. Especially after the "Rosewood" finale this season. "American Crime" might've suffered from the audience's fatigue. There's enough manufactured drama on the news. People sometimes want an escape, not more of the same.

Definitely check it out. The good thing about American Crime is that it's an anthology. Each of the three seasons is a different story/focus with different characters, sometimes portrayed by the same actors. Therefore, you only get connected to the story and characters of each season. While it sucks to see the show be canceled, it isn't like fans are being left out there without closure from the latest season. The latest season just closed out a different, individual story than what was told in season 1 and 2.

I couldn't even give it a chance. It looked so ridiculous in advertisements.

The first time I saw it I knew it wasn't going to last because it had to be hard to film and that ended up being a key reason why it was cancelled.

The ridiculousness of the premise is what made the show so funny. That and Tim Meadows.

I figured the production cost probably played a role in their decision to can it.

Man FOX can't never find a hit. And when they do,they fuck it up like Sleepy Hollow

did that shyt fall off when they wrote ol girl out ? thats when i dipped.....

I guess they'll just keep rebooting 24, Prison Break and the X-Files.

the Outsiders was the 1 with the hillbillies ?

Man you ain't lying. Dug that show, they fucked it up putting it on Friday night... Spanish cop was bad man

Shouldve been rosewood and lethal weapon on back to back
Fox tripping big time cutting rosewood.
Some shit just works and it did. Was never going to be some crazy ass svu or something but if that dumb ass mf show bones could stay on for 90 years rosewood deserved to be on more

IF YOU HAD A NETWORK WHAT SHOWS WOULD YOU PICK UP TO FILL OUT YOUR SCHEDULE??

I'd pick up rosewood and powerless..

sorry yall but 2BG premise was done...that show was running on fumes...what CBS should have done tho was give it a final season to wrap it up for the fans.
