TV News: Bloody Thursday: 12 + Shows Cancelled - Rosewood, Powerless

Most of those shows I didn't watch, but damn...Did they really have to cancel Timeless? It was cheesy to a point, but the historical aspects were interesting...I'm still salty about Pushing Daisies years ago...and I still don't understand why the writers put a wrap on Penny Dreadful so fast.

They fucked up Sleepy Hollow when they sidelined the black girl. She was the star. I dunno how they didn't know that. She had racist ass white guys rethinking their choices in life. I cant believe how that shit went down and then the black dude was gone too, the writing tried to justify it but everybody lost interest like fuck this shit.

I liked Timeless, Carmichael Show, Son of Zorn, and a few others that were canned, but I never watched them live. I watched on commercial free Hulu when I got a chance. I can't do commercial TV. Even walking Dead, Better Call Saul and Fargo; I DVR or watch a commercial free stream online. I can't fucking do commercials....

Wifey was pissed. She was like ok, the show made it and then boom, that article showed the fake out.

And here is the thing, the writing was smart enough, the plot was clever and the characters were well thought out and balanced on both sides of the black/ white struggle. The use of song was not a fav for me but I like how strong the message was on the show and it was the first show I seen adopt the RISE mantra. I might be wrong but I took it as a meta thing and on the other shows that feature RISE (Walking Dead looking at you) this fits more appropriate than ever.

I HOPE the leads find new series to roll on.

The magicians, the expanse, and American gods are locks.

I think twin peaks is as well but I think that's going to depend on who is willing to comeback for another season.
 
Just finished binge watching season 4 of sleepy hollow....surprised that I liked it and disappointed that there won't be a season 5! After Nicole Beharie was killed off....didn't think that I'd be interested anymore.....cast change and additions in my opinion turned out unexpectedly good....oh well !!!

Man, I don't know about Mayor...To me the network is over-banking on the appeal of Black-ish carrying over...and those two shows aren't really alike, other than having black actors. Mayor seems like more coonery than thought-provoking laughs and clever writing.

But I'm with you on Orville...That's better suited for a long sketch on SNL...But I would have been down if they had brought a Galaxy Quest series to TV. I'm laughing my ass off every time I run across that movie on late-night cable.

Definitely want to see the new Star Trek...Hope it's not too corny.

This! I'm trying to at least dvr all the black shows I can but this shit needs to get better fast. I wonder if there are any sistas or bruhs on the creative team/writing dept. because it could seriously use some help. Damn shame because I like Yvette Nicole Brown.

What's up with all the minority shows being on the same day? Blackish, the mayor, fresh off the boat and one other one I think I'm missing in ABC.

its good business and called programming blacks blocks
if you like Black-ish you may like the other shows and stick around to watch

thats why ABC had TGIF back in the day for their family shows & all Shanda Rimes shows on Thursday
Fox has a similiar stratgey with all their comedies on Tuesday and their black dramas on the same night
