The same crowds of hundreds of thousands seen protesting now..... will not even show up in the fall.... they were warned of this for years.... the Supreme Court must be expanded and the only way to do this is with 54 senators.... I'm sick of the wall to wall coverage already.... and this is only the beginning..... believe it.... Coon Thomas wrote this in the ruling....

"...in future cases, we should reconsider all of this Court's substantive due process precedents, including Griswold. Lawrence, and Obergefell. ... overruling these demonstrably erroneous decisions."

.
This is dumb. People who don’t vote aren’t going to protest. That’s their act: not caring enough to do anything.

You’re anger is justified. But what you’re missing is that the underlying rational for today’s decision sets the stage for the legal removal of other rights that do affect you and every other black man in this country.
There are plenty of other “rights” that are not found in the constitution. Respectfully, I think you are being short sighted about this. It’s not just about abortion, it’s about setting the stage for removing other rights we legally enjoy…like not being discriminated against because you’re black…or getting your dick sucked by a woman (that’s sodomy which was on the books as being illegal).
I hear you. And I appreciate you responding to me like a MAN. My bottom line is our rights(black folks in general, black men in particular)are and have been violated every day. Roe V Wade is just one more thing. I don't think this is our fight. White women and Trumpers made this bed. So excuse me if I'm not trying to hit the streets in protest. We( black folks in general, black men in particular) have more pressing issues that need to be addressed.

The court is already full. So you just think a president can just nominate and add justices lmao. Or just nominate and kick someone off? lmao. Dudes have no idea how the government works.
I actually do have an idea. You obviously don’t. There is no legal limit to the number of justices allowed on the Supreme Court. Yes. A president could add justices.

Right, because they never get pregnant from rape or incest, and the condoms never break. Nor are there any responsible married couples that can’t afford or want another kid.

Not all women can tolerate birth control or latex and the possible health risks from BC are not minor. Blood clots, high blood pressure, liver cancer, strokes and and everything.

Trump wanted to end the filibuster but McConnell wouldn't do it - Republicans "we need more Republicans in Congress"

Dem President in office and two Dem Senators won't end the filibuster "Dems "our guys suck if they won't just magically end it somehow"

That's why this party loses. That's why Republicans are winning even though they are a minority. Dems spend twice as much time attacking other Dems than they do Republicans.

I definitely see your point of view, and not sure that I totally disagree. I see it like the frog in water that’s slowly brought to a boil. Do it slow enough and he won’t realize his cooking. Maybe this isn’t where you draw the line, but to your point the water has BEEN boiling - at what point do you draw the line?

Democrats lose because they’re supposed to lose. They won’t win until they kick black people out the party. So they twiddle their thumbs as republicans erect laws that make it harder for blacks to vote. So in the end black people will just disappear from the Democratic Party.

God is good. All the time.

No a president can't.

"Article III of the Constitution, which establishes the Judicial Branch, leaves Congress significant discretion to determine the shape and structure of the federal judiciary. Even the number of Supreme Court Justices is left to Congress"

Again…no legal limit to the number of Supreme Court justices. It is left to congress which is why they must confirm an presidential nominee.
Did you even read the information you provided??

So abortion is the fix?
Irene Vilar worries that her self-described "abortion addiction" will be misunderstood, twisted by the pro-life movement to deny women the right to choose.
Her book, "Impossible Motherhood," which will be released by Other Press on Oct. 6, chronicles her own dark choices: 15 abortions in 16 years, much of it as a married woman.

Abortion comes with its own risks:
What are the possible risks of having an abortion?
  • the abortion doesn't work and the pregnancy doesn't end.
  • some of the pregnancy tissue is left in your uterus.
  • blood clots in your uterus.
  • very heavy bleeding.
  • infection.
  • injury to your cervix, uterus or other organs.
  • allergic reaction to medication.

You need to try reading.

In this area, the Constitution allows for Congress to decide on how many Justices sit on the Supreme Court’s bench. Article III, Section 1, starts with a broad direction to Congress to establish courts. “The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish,” it reads.

The Judiciary Act of 1789 established the first Supreme Court, with six Justices. “Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the supreme court of the United States shall consist of a chief justice and five associate justices, any four of whom shall be a quorum, and shall hold annually at the seat of government two sessions, the one commencing the first Monday of February, and the other the first Monday of August,” the act read.

Since 1789, Congress changed the maximum number of Justices on the Court several times. In 1801, President John Adams and a lame-duck Federalist Congress passed the Judiciary Act of 1801, which reduced the Court to five Justices in an attempt to limit incoming President Thomas Jefferson’s appointments to the high bench. Jefferson and his Republicans soon repealed that act, putting the Court back to six Justices. And in 1807, Jefferson and Congress added a seventh Justice when it added a seventh federal court circuit.

The CONGRESS sets the amount of justices, not the President. The President cannot just add justices on a whim.

You have no idea what you're talking about and the fact that you're so bold at being wrong makes it worse.
