Yeah Cyborg got hit and the bitch just started coming forward. She has much more skills than that. If she would've used her skills she could've gotten it to the 3rd round like Valentina, THEN use HER POWER, which isn't the same as Amandas, but stays consistent.

She just didn't know. I've seen her using skills. Plus she spars with Calissa. She knows better than that. She got caught slipping.

After seeing Cyborg get wrecked, at the time Ronda ran through Bethe in the same fashion, I sure Ronda THOUGHT she could along bombs with anybody. And since Cyborg never had one punch stopping power and just ran into the only chick out there who ever did, I'm not sure Ronda and Cyborg wouldve been anything like that. Cyborgs power wouldve ran her into a clinch and possibly being taken for a ride.

Amanda deserves all the credit here. She showed Cyborg what true power was.

Good points. Yeah - forgot about the contention between the 2 camps re: weight divisions. Rousey may have taken it had Cyborg ever made it down to 135. Though Cyborg was having those terribly difficult weight cuts years back and struggling to make 140 & 145.

Like many in the MMA world have said ... one of the worst things that could have ever happened for Ronda's confidence were those quick victories. 14 seconds, 16 seconds, 34 seconds, etc. Not getting that cage time and experience in. Getting a knockout over Bethe (despite Rousey not being a striker).

I wonder how long it would take for DC to safely get back down to 205 again if he were enticed to get that trilogy in with Jones? He was around 245 - 250 for the Stipe Miocic title fight in July, right? Something like that. Whereas Jones probably gets up to 225 - 230 (or more) during the off season. On one of the final Embeddeds this week (last or 2nd to last one) he was cutting the final 7lbs ...

Right. And remember one of Rondas quick defeats-- the 14 secs you mentioned... Was against the chick who BEAT Amanda at the time. Cat Zingano, who was hoping to position herself for a rematch last night , but she lost after getting a toenail to the eye.

And your point about that weight cut for DC-- exactly. I think DC will attempt to make it again but wow. It's a steep dropoff. That shit might kill him trying to make it efire his birthday.

Amanda is in that sweet spot weight Wise, where she can make both, and have power.

Jones is NOT where he can make heavyweight. DC kinda is. When he cuts he can beat everyone there except Jones. The weight cut is his only remaining excuse. And Jones STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM HEAVYWEIGHT!

And let's be real about Rondas confidence . Those broads threw strategy out the window based off fear lol.

Grappling wise, she's the best ever. From the clinch, she can find a submission on the drop of a dime. She had NO footwork, and couldn't even shoot for takedowns , so it was all dependent on them coming to her. Bethe showed she could punch a little. That made her feel like she was really a boxer lol

Great point. Amanda still has years left to compete, and is sitting in that advantageous position of knowing she's top of the game ... and especially now with Schevshenko moving down and winning the 125lb title 3 weeks ago in Toronto. Puts Joanna J' in a tough position having lost twice to Rose at 115, and once to Schev' at 125.

Going to be interesting to see how DC closes out his career next year. He'll be 40 in March. Still can't believe how he KO'd Stipe in the 1st round back in July. Such a big win ... thought for sure it would be a tougb battle for 3 - 5 rounds. I respect both DC & Stipe. I'd like to see Jones move up to HW nearing the end of his career. But for now, controversy or not, he's the GOAT in the sport given strength of competition. With names like DJ, GSP, Khabib & Fedor all in the mix with him too. All incredible talents! Conor's name would be higher were it not for the losses in recent years.

Indeed. The heat of the moment (spotlight) caused them to panic even further. Really felt for Cat Zingano when she could highlight-reeled like that. She should have allowed herself to settle into the fight. Many felt like she had the best chance to defeat Ronda (prior to Holly & Amanda both beating Ronda). She was tough & durable. Great win over Amanda back in 2014. Hard-fought. And then she tried to blitz Ronda right off the bat and got immediately countered. Then of course the fluke accident/injury yesterday. Really unfortunate for her. Megan's definitely a tough match-up given her length and reach.

Would have been crazy had Nunes been one of the highlight reel losses to Ronda years ago ... and then go on to big wins over Schev', Tate & Cyborg afterward. Amanda had the proper game plan to strike with her (after Ronda's big loss to Holm a year prior). Really happy for Nunes. Hope she pulls off several more wins in the years ahead.

Who should Johnnny Bones Jones fight now? I really don’t want to see a trilogy between him and DC cause I already know the results. I want to see him fight Cain, Anderson Silva, Eomero, etc but I don’t think too many left who can give Jones a fight.

Frfr, so far she's STILL doing much better than all these chicks. Most title defenses, most money.
