Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby paid $545,000 in September for a property near Disney World, then bought a condominium on a barrier island just north of Sarasota for $476,000 in February.

They been coming at the Mosby's non-stop for about 2 years now. Each time, they bring up these accusations that amount to nothing but the local Fox News affiliate which is owned by the deeply conservative Sinclair Broadcasting Group, amps the shit up like it's fucking Watergate. For example, they did one story about how the Mosby's were in serious debt but made it sound as if it was something shady like gambling debts or something. In reality, they took out a loan from their 401K to help finance a re-election campaign and they incurred a tax penalty, that's it.
Now, looking at this story, they took out a loan and brought a vacation home in Florida. For a young, well-to-do couple each pulling down over 6-figures, this is not out of the ordinary, but when you have a disingenuous media machine clocking your every move somehow they make it seem illicit. Nevermind that the guy that Sinclair bankrolled to run for Mosby's State's Attorney seat and later for Baltimore City mayor was caught soliciting by cops one night and they totally swept that story under the rug. This is a biased media campaign, the GOP wants more control over Maryland because there a lot of money at stake and the gentrifiers have been eyeballing Baltimore City closely for the last 5+ years. What started in Harbor East is just looking to expand.

This is different. This ain’t some random State investigation by the good ol boys in Annapolis. THESE ARE THE FEDS!!! They could give a shit who controls Baltimore or the media. Leo is looking to pad his resume with high profile convictions, then on to the next one. It doesn’t matter if they are guilty or not, they have unlimited resources and manpower. "A lawyer for Baltimore City Council President Nick Mosby and State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby is alleging misconduct by federal prosecutors and seeking a suspension of a federal criminal investigation into the couple.
A. Scott Bolden singled out prosecutors Stephen M. Schenning and Leo J. Wise in his letter to the Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility.
“There is no question that the investigation against my clients is frivolous, politically-motivated, and arises from the animus both Mr. Schenning and Mr. Wise have against State’s Attorney Mosby,” Bolden said in the letter, first published Monday evening by The Washington Post.
The letter alleges that Schenning and Wise carry a grudge against Marilyn Mosby dating back to alleged leaks from her office in 2017 during the federal investigation of the Baltimore Police Department’s corrupt Gun Trace Task Force. Bolden says the two should have recused themselves from the case and claims they purposefully leaked secret grand jury proceedings to the media to “harass, degrade and embarrass” the Mosbys."
Their lawyer is trying to get Leo off the case. Smart move.
