It’s been stated many times that white folks that vote for the GOP are not voting against their self-interest but upholding a system.
I’m going to push back a little bit and say it’s both. I just don’t think these same uneducated backwood idiots are smart enough to truly and consciously know what they are doing.

If that didn't resonate, it’s not because it didn’t happen, it’s because too many people didn’t know about it.
Do you think these Trump bottom-feeders are listening to NPR, or reading the both-sides bullshit the corporate media slops out at us every hour — the very media which completely missed the biggest story in American history: The threat and the looming fall of our democratic republic?

These selfish Conservative babies exited the road to progress years ago, to search for a dead end where they could be coddled and burped by right-wing phonies who are happy to make house calls in exchange for their undivided time and money. They aren’t interested in real news, they are interested in propaganda that makes them feel good about themselves and an America that never existed. It’s all over their radio stations, and in their churches … It’s on the Internet, their TVs, and even in their newspapers that Conservative billionaires have bought up in increasing numbers.
There is nothing comparable to this information machine on the Left, and as I wrote this weekend, it needs to be addressed, but quick.
Until and unless this gets fixed, we are done.
And we don’t have long, because fascism is here and spreading through the countryside like wildfire, and taking root in places like those damn farms.
These white people have proven without a shadow of doubt that they will literally eat their own if it means holding onto the power they have had in this country for 248 years.

To quote myself:
As I've said elsewhere. When I vote for a Democrat, I'm hiring the person who will represent my interests on healthcare, climate change, environmental racism, living wages, family leave, protecting social security, protecting voting rights, women's rights, affordable education, civil rights and who won't come for reproductive rights or contraceptives. Reparations would be nice, but that doesn't make my top 10 or 15 priorities.
LGBTQXYZ folks are hiring people who will fight for marriage and work equality and won't revoke the rights they currently have or whatever agenda items they care about. There may be a subset of folks with more sinister agendas, but the majority want to live and let live.
It just so happens that neither one of us can find someone in the GOP to fight for what we want, nor any third party THAT HAS A CHANCE OF WINNING.
It doesn't mean I support the "gay agenda" or that gay folks support civil rights or any of the stuff I want accomplished. It means we are hiring the same guy to attempt to pass our agenda, who can't get hired without both of us voting for them to put them in the lead.
Voting for a third party might make me feel morally superior, but it does absolutely nothing for getting my agenda passed, as it will most likely lead to the GOP winning, which WILL NOT represent my interests and could cause me to lose what benefits in those areas I do have.
It's not about the lesser of the two evils, either. It's about the better of the two candidates.
Without ever truly knowing this, everything inside of me felt the cheating that went on during this election is unprecedented.
