Why are Latinos and others groups trying to say they created Hip-Hop when it was really Black people?

Blacks = Rapping, Music, Deejays, Dancing, Pop Locking, Fashion and Fine Ass Black Queens
Puerto Rican = Graffiti Art, Dancing, Break Dancing, Dee Jays, Fine Ass Puerto Rican Sistahs.
Mix all of that in a bowl as a collective and you have the hiphop culture.

So as Truth stated, Puerto Ricans definitely played a role in or were instrumental in the start of the Hip-Hop culture.

OH Dear...Archive dont lie.....Black Americans Created every element of Hip Hop..please dont make a fool of yourself!!!

HIP-HOP was created by impoverished people who felt ostracized by the dominant culture who just jacked disco music from them making it exclusively theirs. The right conditions created HIP HOP, not individuals or any particular race. This is why it wasn't created in Africa or Puerto Rico where genetically speaking there are more Puerto Ricans and Blacks. But I know for a fact that Puerto Rican HIP-HOP pioneers such as Ruby Dee, Chevy Chase, and the Fearless four played a very instrumental role in the growth of what we call HIP-HOP.

HIP-HOP wasn't created by a person it evolved out of the void left from Disco music getting jacked by the whites and turning Hollyweird. Its evolution took place in the Bronx, a place where Blacks and Spanish live as one, I ought to know I moved there after living four years in Cali.

A lot of people don't realize that major changes are coming, not just to us, but to the entire world.

Most of this shit is seeing the weakness of black culture, the kindness of black Americans & fitting themselves into place for this new world order.

Cause don't nobody want to be the ******* of the new world.

I'm not a FBA guy, but we as Black Americans do need to have a foundation. Because these attacks will keep coming, more & more.

Pretty soon, the only history we are going to have is that we volunteered to cross the most dangerous passage to help the Founding Fathers create a new type of democracy, once dedicated to freedom & rights for all.

All our inventions...GONE.

All of our culture...GONE.

All of our legacies...GONE.

Pay attention. It is a reason that this is happening. It is a reason why all these races/cultures/tribes that aligned with us for decades are blantantly lying & stealing what is rightfully ours. It's a reason why they are uniting against us while at the same time, keeping friendly with us.

I just hope you begin to see it.

i feel you. The new biggest gangster on the block is china. China made significant inroads into africa and the carribbean. They practically own the carribbean. Them and the Arabs.
None of these folk wanted a claim into hip hop (despite being previously acknowledged) when the genre was blamed for western degeneracy in the 90s-2000s.
Now the cow is plump anf dverybody wants a cut of meat.

He does and it's also funny he comes out and says it now after a week or two ago having a Messican gangbanger said he wouldn't sign to a black lable if they offered him a contract, now Fat Joe wants to add that Latino's helped create hiphop, why Joe?Why now Joe?.

Was they taking consensus back in the days? whose to say that those were Latino's ,they could of been I-Talians or west Indians, some of them have afro's,Latino's wore afro's,bell bottoms?

In other news Bad Bunny is Latino and kinda funny.....Take the "reggae" out of the ton

Here is the first hip hop recorded hit song.

Lyrics

I said-a hip, hop, the hippie, the hippie
To the hip hip hop-a you don't stop the rock
It to the bang-bang boogie, say up jump the boogie
To the rhythm of the boogie, the beat
Now what you hear is not a test: I'm rappin' to the beat
And me, the groove, and my friends are gonna try to move your feet
See, I am Wonder Mike, and I'd like to say hello
To the black, to the white, the red
And the brown, the purple and yellow
But first I gotta bang bang the boogie to the boogie
Say up jump the boogie to the bang bang boogie
Let's rock, you don't stop
Rock the riddle that will make your body rock
Well, so far you've heard my voice, but I brought two friends along
And next on the mike is my man Hank, come on Hank, sing that song
Check it out, I'm the C-A-S-AN, the O-V-A and the rest is F-L-Y
You see, I go by the code of the doctor of the mix and these reasons I'll tell you why
You see I'm six foot one and I'm tons of fun and I dress to a D
You see I got more clothes than Muhammad Ali and I dress so viciously
I got bodyguards, I got two big cars, that definitely ain't the whack
I got a Lincoln continental and a sunroof Cadillac
So after school, I take a dip in the pool, which is really on the wall
I got a color TV so I can see the Knicks play basketball
Hear me talking 'bout checkbooks, credit cards, more money than a sucker could ever spend
But I wouldn't give a sucker or a bum from the Rucker, not a dime 'til I made it again
Everybody go: Hotel, motel, whatcha gonna do today (Say what?)
'Cause I'ma get a fly girl, gonna get some spank and drive off in a def OJ
Everybody go: Hotel, motel, Holiday Inn
You see, if your girl starts acting up, then you take her friend
Uh Master Gee, my mellow?
It's on you so what you gonna do?
Well it's on and on and on, on and on
The beat don't stop until the break of dawn
I said a M-A-S, a T-E-R, a G with a double E
I said I go by the unforgettable name of the man they call the Master Gee
Well, my name is known all over the world
By all the foxy ladies and the pretty girls
I'm going down in history
As the baddest rapper there ever could be
Now I'm feeling the highs and you're feeling the lows
The beat starts getting into your toes
You start popping your fingers and stomping your feet
And moving your body while you're sitting in your seat
And then damn, you start doing the freak
I said damn, right outta your seat
Then you throw your hands high in the air
You're rocking to the rhythm, shake your derriere
Ya rockin' to the beat without a care
With the sureshot MCs for the affair
Now, I'm not as tall as the rest of the gang
But I rap to the beat just the same
I got a little face, and a pair of brown eyes
All I'm here to do, ladies, is hypnotize
Singing on an' an' on an' on, on an' on
The beat don't stop until the break of dawn
Singing on an' an' on an' on, on an' on
Like a hot party the pop the pop the pop dibbie dibbie
Pop the pop, pop, you don't dare stop
Come alive y'all, gimme whatcha got
I guess by now you can take a hunch
And find that I am the baby of the bunch
But that's okay, I still keep in stride
'Cos all I'm here to do is just wiggle your behind
Singin' on'n'n'on'n'on n'on
The beat don't stop until the break of dawn
Singin' on'n'n'on'n'on on'n'on
Rock rock, y'all, throw it on the floor
I'm gonna freak ya here I'm gonna freak you there
I'm gonna move you outta this atmosphere
'Cos I'm one of a kind and I'll shock your mind
I'll put TNT tickin' in your behind
I said one, two, three, four, come on, girls, get on the floor
A-come alive, y'all, a-gimme whatcha got
'Cos I'm guaranteed to make you rock
I said one, two, three, four, tell me, Wonder Mike
What are you waiting for?
I said a hip hop the hippie to the hippie
To the hip hip hop and you don't stop
The rock it to the bang bang the boogie
Say up jump the boogie, dig the rhythm of the boogie, the beat
Skiddlee beebop a we rock a scooby doo
And guess what, America: we love you
'Cause ya rock and ya roll with so much soul
You could rock 'til you're a hundred and one years old
I don't mean to brag I don't mean to boast
But we like hot butter on a breakfast toast
Rock it up, uh, baby bubbah
Baby bubbah to the boogie the bang bang the boogie
To the beat beat, it's so unique
Come on, everybody, and dance to the beat
A hip hop the hippie the hippie
To the hip hip hop and you don't stop
The rock it out baby boppa to the boogity bang bang
Boogie to the boogie, the beat
I said I can't wait 'til the end of the week
When I'm rappin' to the rhythm of a groovy beat
An attempt to raise your body heat
Just blow your mind so that you can't speak
To do a thing but a rock and shuffle your feet
And let it change up to a dance called the freak
And when ya finally do come into your rhythmic beat
Rest a little while so ya don't get weak
I know a man named Hank
He has more rhymes than a serious bank
So come on Hank, uh, sing that song
To the rhythm of the boogie the bang bang the bong
Well, I'm imp the dimp, the ladies pimp
The women fight for my delight
But I'm the grandmaster with the three MCs
That shock the house for the young ladies
And when you come inside, into the front
You do the freak, spank, and do the bump
And when the sucker MCs try to prove a point
We're treacherous trio, we're the serious joint
A-from sun-to-sun and from day-to-day
I sit down and write a brand new rhyme
Because they say that miracles never cease
I've created a devastating masterpiece
I'm gonna rock the mike 'til you can't resist
Everybody, I say, it goes like this
Well, I was comin' home late one dark afternoon
A reporter stopped me for a interview
She said she's heard stories and she's heard fables
That I'm vicious on the mic and the turntables
This young reporter, I did adore
So I rocked a vicious rhyme like I never did before
She said, "Damn, fly guy, I'm in love with you!
The Casanova legend must have been true!"
I said, "By the way, baby, what's your name?"
Said, "I go by the name Lois Lane
And you could be my boyfriend, you surely can
Just let me quit my boyfriend called Superman"
I said, "He's a fairy, I do suppose
Flyin' through the air in pantyhose
He may be very sexy or even cute
But he looks like a sucker in a blue and red suit"
I said, "You need a man who's got finesse
And his whole name across his chest
He may be able to fly all through the night
But can he rock a party 'til the early light?
He can't satisfy you with his little worm
But I can bust you out with my super sperm!"
I gon' do it, I gon' do it, I gon' do it, do it, do it
And I'm here, and I'm there, I'm Big Bank Hank, I'm everywhere
Just throw your hands up in the air

Fuck googling what other people said, show me the music before 79 that didn't have P.R. people in it (because to keep it a buck, Dominicans wasn't anywhere in the Hip Hop picture). They wanted the facts of who were part of the early movement, so I posted them, but instead of refuting my evidence, you post crap that ask the same question I already answered.

Now if you really want to debunk my evidence, easy post rap music before Cold Crush, the Fantastic Romantics, and the Treacherous 3 who had DJ Crazie Eddie, or before 78.

Can we be specific about which Latinos we're talking about...because in this case it seems like PRs and Dominicans had a hand in there but not ALL Latinos.. just those in the east coast NY tri-state area..

If you wanna say PUERTO RICANS were involved in the early days of hip hop I think that would be an accurate thing to say.

Correct, matter of fact the whole notion of race is a white Europian construct! I reality HIP HOP was not the result of black genetics, if so why dose indiginous Africans like most indiginouse people on the planet sing the same damn song and dress the same damn way for hundreds of years? I believe that the driving force behind behavior is not race or genetics like the white man has lied to you guys, but rather conditioning, nuture or enviorment, and in the case of HIP HOP the poor living conditioning and the fact that disco was jacked from us, forced them to create their own brand of music for the people. Without these conditions there would be no HIP HOP no matter how much melonine folks have.
But racist people who believe in the bullshit master race crap will reject this claim and all the hard evidence that is posted, simply because it doesnt' fit their narrative!

I saw most of the other pages, the only thing I saw worth noting was duke talking about the hip hop culture before 73, to which I call bullshit because duke was trying to equate early NYC GANGS to hip hop, which is pure bullshit because my mother side of the family is from the Bronx, they grew up with Flash, Bam and Herc, they caught a body fighting for the Tomahawks, so I know the difference between gang life and the HIP HOP culture. If anything HIP HOP was an effect of the gang culture the same way the Hippy peace movement was a derivative of the Vietnam war. But this doesnt make them the same as the guy was alluding to!
Again, if you want to debunk my claims post-HIP-HOP music before 1979 because I can produce actual evidence that Puerto Ricans were involved around that time.

Graffiti is a part of HIP HOP, not HIP HOP itself just like djing is part of HIP HOP, not HIP HOP itself because going by your dumb logic whites invented hip hop because they had the first DJ.

There were several songs that were sort of rappish but we all know they were not really HIP-HOP here is another quasi-hip-hop song.

Hip hop grew out of Funk music James Brown etc. The black artists in the late 60s and early 70 laid the ground work for what hip hop became in the late 70s. This is attempt to hijack another genre of music away from Black Americans. You can't say just cause there were a few PR around the neighborhood equates to 50/50.
