Dave Chappelle's alleged attacker will not face felony charges after DA declines case
CNN)The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office will not pursue felony charges against Isaiah Lee, the man accused of leaping on stage and attacking comedian Dave Chappelle during a performance a the Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday night.
"After reviewing the evidence, prosecutors determined that while criminal conduct occurred, the evidence as presented did not constitute felony conduct," DA spokesperson Greg Risling said in a statement to CNN.
The case has been referred to the Los Angeles City Attorney's office for misdemeanor filing consideration, according to Risling.
This is a damn travesty
It doesn't make sense.
There is something bigger going on here
There has been a concerted effort to excuse and normalize these attacks
People acting like John Lennon Selena Monica Seles the malice at the palace that MLB ref etc etc ain't happen?
So is now a shank in a prison not considered a real weapon because it's just a broken plastic fork?
Now I kinda wish Chris really did let the cops arrest Will JUST TO SEE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN LEGALLY.
Imagine of the DA had dropped the charges there too?
Wtf is the legal system trying to tell the public?
Is this some backdoor way to excuse future police brutality cases?
I really do not get this.
The victims are on the same level. Two different status levels, though. That's why it's silly.
@4 Dimensional @Duece
I ain't a master comedian
But this don't feel like the best way to go about doing this.
We are talking about a no name mixtape rapper & Will Smith, that was our discussion from the beginning. The victims are on the same level.
She's seemingly turned this into a series.
I wanna see when she and Will talk about it face to face.

I agree with Ms. PeachesJada Pinkett Smith urges Will Smith, Chris Rock to 'reconcile' after Oscars slap
Jada Pinkett Smith says she hopes Will Smith and Chris Rock can reconcile on a new episode of 'Red Table Talk' in which she discusses her alopecia, the anxiety it caused her, and how the Oscars inspired thousands to reach out to her for more information about the hair loss condition.ew.com
I probably missed it with everything going on in the world but has this chick defended her husband publicly once since Oscar's night? Something like a simple "he is a good man who made a mistake but there is a lifetime of good deeds" etc
