That's why I never understood, why the CDC came out and said it was okay to wear them at the beginning of the pandemic.
Because they didn't want the general public scooping up what little supply they had of other proper masks at the time, because they wanted something to give people some sense of security when they went outside, and because something is technically better than nothing.

The CDC has basically been treating people like children who are not smart or mature enough to understand logic. But in their (rather meager) defense, people have been acting like ignorant children for years now.

I hate to say it but the CDC in this situation is here because of stupid people…..like you said they have to treat stupid people like children while everyone else who has some intelligence hear what they say one time and understand the assignment for the most part.

“We’re seeing right now the highest death rates we’ve ever seen in the history of this business,” said Scott Davison, the CEO of OneAmerica, a $100 billion life insurance and retirement company headquartered in Indianapolis.

“The data is consistent across every player in the business.”

Davison said death rates among working age people – those 18 to 64-years-old – are up 40 percent in the third and fourth quarter of 2021 over pre-pandemic levels.

“Just to give you an idea of how bad that is, a three sigma or 200-year catastrophe would be a 10 percent increase over pre-pandemic levels,” Davison said. “So, 40 percent is just unheard of.”

He said the data shows COVID deaths are greatly understated among working age Americans.

Davison says OneAmerica expects to pay out more than $100 million in short- and long-term disability claims due to the pandemic.

“Whether it’s long COVID or whether it’s because people haven’t been able to get the health care they need because the hospitals are overrun, we’re seeing those claims start to tick up as well,” he said.

Because of this, insurance companies are beginning to add premium increases on employers in counties with low vaccination rates to cover the benefit payouts.

If these insurance companies jack up the rates on these unvaccinated mofos, it could lead to a decrease in transmissions and deaths over a period of time.

Hit these mofos in their pockets. The courts can’t do shit with the private sector unlike how they keep getting in the way of Biden’s policies.

Delta Air Lines’s chief health officer announced last week that 4,000 unvaccinated employees got inoculated after the company announced that it was adding a $200 monthly surcharge on its health care plan for employees who were not vaccinated.

Unsurprising really...

If Trump was president this would be even worse.

There are too many lawsuits joldong up mandates for vaccines that Biden tried to get through. Trump wouldn t have even done that.

There is no telling what would be going on if that orange clown was still in office. He literally broke the postal system to try to prevent mail in voting so I am sure he would just do what some of the red states are doing now and just not test anyone while claiming to have defeated the virus. :smh::lol:

We are living in the perfect storm of selfishness, stupidity and ignorance even now and I feel sympathy for people trying to do the right thing even though they are surrounded by actual imbeciles. :smh: It is fashionable to say this isn't a political thing but it actually is 100% political. Hogan in Maryland and initially DeWine were doing a good job despite being GOP governors but the rest don't try because the people who vote for them literally don't care:

It should be frightening to everyone that not following medical advice during a fucking pandemic is good politics right now if you are in the GOP...

That's the thing. Swear if you look online you can find articles from just a few months ago saying people shouldn't be rushing to get the 3rd booster. American articles of course, because we all know other countries were doing the 3rd one. MSM had their 'experts' and everything backing their blatant bullshit. No misinformation tag for them although they were acting like we were on a totally different planet from the countries already doing the 3rd one for everyone.

They playing games out here in the states and this our lives man.

They'll do and say anything to have folks working and churn at school so da beast can continue to get fed. And folks won't question it ESPECIALLY if it's coming from their political gang of choice.

Don’t get yourself thinking that mask is really doing anything.

Remember this is a biohazard. That word is not being used by the US Government, WHO and Governments around the world because they are afraid of panic.

Notice how at Covid testing sites, the medical teams are completely covered in full PPE gear.

They are dealing with a biohazard.

When they stop to take bathroom breaks, lunch and end of shift. They go thru a complete decontamination procedure to sterilize themselves.

It is a time consuming procedure. If you are not fully protecting yourself with full PPE when you are out and about, you are at a risk of catching this virus. The mask is just a false sense of protection to give people a false sense of security.

Anybody who has had extensive medical training or served in the US military knows what I am talking about.

That's cool and all but I ain't finna be out here bare faced.

He's been on this dumb shit. They all know it is bullshit but they also know the path to reelection and power requires the votes of the idiots...

A GOP senator suggested gargling mouthwash to kill the coronavirus. Doctors and Listerine are skeptical.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) recommended mouthwash as a treatment for the coronavirus during a town hall meeting Wednesday, immediately drawing criticism for suggesting gargling would offer protection.
The senator has been criticized for spreading conspiracy theories about the coronavirus and has promoted the use of drugs that have shown little to no evidence that they are effective in treating covid-19. YouTube this year suspended his account for violating the company’s medical misinformation policies. He has also expressed skepticism about the efficacy of coronavirus vaccine mandates and doses, which have undergone vigorous health testing.

To be fair though, China was willing to seal off a major city and lock people in their homes.

New Zealand shut down their entire country over one case.

Japan was handling the pandemic poorly around the time of the Olympics and resorted to closing their borders.

Hong Kong has basically isolated itself from the rest of the world and has some of the toughest restrictions in the world.

Taiwan will track your location with your cell phone, call you multiple times a day during your quarantine period, and fine you if you violate quarantine.

Measures like these just aren't realistic in the US, the UK, and even France.

It’s realistic and can happen in the US.

Biden and the Democratic Party needs to have the will to do it.

They spending all their time bending over backwards to make the GOP electorate happy, with the stupid fantasy that they will see how great the Democratic Party is and come join the Democrats.

Biden and the Democrats in Congress have more power than what people know. They are afraid to use that power.

And folks will continuously make excuse after excuse as to why they won't or don't. Such is da case of shills.

Biden needs to do better. There's plenty that can be done and should be done, but some things aren't realistic with the current political makeup of the country and the current lethality of covid.

There aren't 50 senators that would sign on to incredibly strict measures let alone provide funding for those measures right now. Those countries that close their borders, require strict quarantines, shutdown, etc. also bring people food and masks and compensate workers who are forced into quarantine. The current makeup of the senate won't allow for those things.

There are 27 republican governors, at least 23 of which would oppose any shutdown. The only way I can see us shutting down again is if a new variant comes out that is as deadly as Delta and as contagious as Omicron. But even then, the shutdowns would only happen as a reaction, not a preventative measure unfortunately.

Hey I’m going to give Joe Biden credit he tried to do a lot of stuff especially during the fall months but the Republicans kept dragging everything he do into the court system and this is why we are having major issues right now also this is why Republicans in certain areas are catching hell with this virus.

Now the CDC needs to do a better job but a part of me agrees with this video about the CDC…..

Somewhat true.

But like I said, Biden and the Democrats have more power than what they are using.

A good example is President Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War. It is a fact Lincoln didn’t give two fucks about the slaves. There were plenty of people on his cabinet, advisors, people in the Republican and Democratic Party that wanted the war to end immediately and just give in to the Confederates because the war was not popular

Lincoln didn’t think about himself or the slaves. He looked at the Big Picture and looked beyond and saw the potential of the United States long after he was dead and forgotten.

He knew in the long term, slavery would be the downfall of the country and could lead to something worse not just for Americans, but the world.

Biden has to think like that.

Yes, decisions he would make to get this pandemic under control in this country will not be popular amongst his party, the GOP and the American people, but it’s what is needed to be done for the future of the country long after we are all dead, buried and forgotten for future generations.

Biden and co. won't do it for the simple reason that it plays into the GOP narrative.

Republicans already have a percentage of deluded people believing that all Democrats want to do is take away their freedoms in the here and now. Ordering or mandating an actual lockdown will just further empower those people's fantasies.

I'm not saying that restrictions aren't the right thing, or even that they shouldn't do them. I'm just saying that that reasoning is why the current Democrat structure won't make moves like that.
