The below is from the UK and kind of highlights why they cut down their time on boosters from 6 to 3 months. As we see, the good ol' U.S finally stopped dragging ass and cut it down to 5 months, but this info old as hell.

These fools knew that it was down to 10 percent protection at 20 weeks after the second dose, but didn't say shit. Remember, we are starting at only 65-70 percent effective against omnicron. Everything is downhill from there.
Like I said, it's easy to tell the future of the U.S. by looking overseas and bypassing our fucked up media.
Let's see when the U.S. follows the science.
Latest updates on SARS-CoV-2 variants detected in the UK.

As set out last week, the effectiveness of all vaccines against symptomatic infection continues to be lower in all periods against Omicron compared to Delta. The latest data confirmed that among those who had received 2 doses of AstraZeneca, there was no effect against Omicron from 20 weeks after the second dose.
Among those who had received 2 doses of Pfizer or Moderna, effectiveness dropped from around 65 to 70% down to around 10% by 20 weeks after the second dose. Two to 4 weeks after a booster dose, vaccine effectiveness ranged from around 65 to 75%, dropping to 55 to 70% at 5 to 9 weeks and 40 to 50% from 10+ weeks after the booster.
You are missing the most interesting part of the data around this though and the reason you see enhanced anxiety in the members of the idiot class that still have observational skills left.

The unvaccinated previously had good/great protection for up to 6 months after infection. However, with Omicron, that protection comes down to 19% from 85%+.
To put this into context, in the pre-Omicron era, the UK “SIREN” study of COVID infection in healthcare workers estimated that prior infection afforded 85% protection against a second COVID infection over 6 months. The reinfection risk estimated in the current study suggests this protection has fallen to 19% (95%CI: 0-27%) against an Omicron infection.
The Omicron variant largely evades immunity from past infection or two vaccine doses according to the latest Imperial modelling.

NYC charts the vaccine effectiveness and outcomes based on vaccination status:
https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-breakthrough-data
We are going to see in real time how well this works as we can compare heavily vaccinated NYC to less vaccinated upstate NY and see the results.
Another interesting point is that the deaths per 100K for the vaccinated are at a lower level than with the flu in previous years.
18-49 age group had 1.2 deaths per 100K from the Flu in 2019
CDC calculates estimates of disease burden in the United States using surveillance data and modeling to adjust for sources of under-detection. Burden estimates for the 2018-2019 season found here.

Cali death rate right now for the vaccinated is .3 per 100K and 5.2 per 100K for the unvaccinated (16-17X increase)
You can do the same thing with hospitalizations in NYC right now. It is 30 per 100K for the unvaccinated compared to 2 per 100K for the vaccinated.
We don't have a crisis but for the unvaccinated.
I think the writing is on the wall in terms of what the trends for treating the unvaccinated will be going forward . Look at the messaging from Macron (who is up for reelection soon ) et al.:
“In a democracy, the worst enemies are lies and stupidity,” Macron said. “We are putting pressure on the unvaccinated by limiting, as much as possible, their access to activities in social life.”
France has vaccinated almost 90% of its population who are eligible, Macron said, and it was “only a very small minority who are resisting. How do we reduce that minority? We reduce it – sorry for the expression – by pissing them off even more.”
The president, who said he wanted to run for a second term in presidential elections in April but would not make his decision public until “the health situation allows”, added that he was “not going to jail [the unvaccinated], or forcibly vaccinate them.”
So, he said, “we have to tell them: from 15 January, you will no longer be able to go to the restaurant. You will no longer be able to go for a coffee, you will no longer be able to go to the theatre. You will no longer be able to go to the cinema.”
