Are Barbers Today Over Charging People Or Nah?

The problem is greed, not everyone can cut their own hair nor it makes you a professional learning it on YouTube and a self-cut won't look better than a braber who has skills and is educated as a barber, goes to convention expo to learn the latest techniques and new clippers that's in the market. I understand barbers do a lot to improve their skill and have to pay their bills but the pandemic is an excuse for why they overcharge and also reason why they don't get tips because they charge too much. It's fucked up when they charge $30 to trim ya beard and $60 for a haircut which is robbing people. But if enough people complain the laws could change of what barbers can and can't charge their clients.im not here to make barbers rich and will not pay for those high ass prices.
There's a percentage of haircuts that can easily be done at home, also trimming or cutting beards. Humans are creatures of habit and will do things continuously even if they know it's wrong, it's fucking them over, or they don't agree with it. It's human nature that is why so many wrongdoing in the world continue till this day. I would never say a law should pass to limit what they could charge cause consumers can easily refuse to do biz with them. It's simple stop going or paying them prices and watch how fast them barbers will drop their prices. It's just that simple. But humans don't put in the work for shit they believe in and that's why fuckery like this continues. I don't blame the biz I blame the consumers

To each their own who do their own, I refuse to do that just to fuck up a line up because I couldn't see from behind my head or don't know how to hold the clippers properly. If people got a shaking problem then they won't ever be able to cut it how they want.

I respect the profession which is what a barber is that I wouldn't do things myself that I know I don't have the skills nor time to waste trying to do it right.

Yeah, leaving another barber for one who fits your budget is cool because I already said that if they charge more than I'm willing to pay, IM OUT.

But if I wanted to cut hair, I would want to learn from someone who have done it for years or go to school which is how it should be done. But now they have a self-cut system and YouTube teaching how to cut hair which I refuse to do all of that but I respect others that do it for themselves.

I really want to believe this titok isnt for entertainment with the fact he's doing that shit for real.

I think it was like 2018-2019 that I really wanted to find a barber who did enhancements just to see what the hype was about. The cut was cool but natural was and still is my preference.

The fact that enhancements is 80% of the damn haircut now and they feel like they gotta charge double/triple for some shit isn’t necessarily a skill is wild. I saw a non barber dude use enhancements on his damn self just to prove a point. And it was clean. But not everybody can cut their own hair so these barbers gouge.

Natural was always my preference that enhancement shit is a waste of money and doesn't last unless you're a model or getting married or need a professional picture taken, I wouldn't get it. That's just my own opinion.

Ya'll gonna clown....but I stopped going to traditional barbershops when I moved back home almost two years. I'm out in the suburbs and I've been going to SuperCuts lolz. They are like the Chick-Fil-A of barbershops. I needed a cut bad once so I walked into a SuperCuts and never looked back.

I never have to wait, I'm in and out in 20 minutes, no interruptions or distractions from barbers taking phone calls, answering text messages, changing the channel on the TV, arguing with other barbers talking shit, waiting there hours just to get a cut.

I call, make an appointment, in and out and only costs like $27. I've never had a bad cut and always walk out without wondering how time I spent waiting to get a fade.

Yeah I miss the vibe of the barbershop but at my age, I'd rather have my time and save on money. The cuts aren't bad either.

Nothing like taking out my clipper that I paid $20 for from a booster that I got it from 2 yrs ago.. yesterday night b4 I met up with this chick, pulled the clipper out , shaved my head, than hopped in the shower..nothing like a fresh cut, than hitting the shower right after.. saving thousands of dollars a yr

You Barber niggas done got fat eating good.
Revolution and the uprising have begun!

The pandemic is over, they want to keep charging these high ass prices to support their lifestyle.

But like I said, they will continue to lose clients increasing the price for a haircut.
