Ever notice that when you are too smart or don't speak street talk, many sisters think you are a cornball (especially when they are young)..

Bottom line many of these brothers are labeled as loser and scrubs, that is until they make that bank then they are all of a sudden a successful black man... Problem is white chicks are often taught to seek rich men before they get rich that way their intentions of being cared for would fly under the radar.
A good example of this is a friend of mine who was a star basketball player in college, attending a big University, and one day their school had a party in which he decided to break away from his studies to attend.. When he arrived there all he wanted was a break from the books having a little fun for the night... According to him the sisters there gave him the mean grill look, he even overheard one say "he thinks we are supposed to go over there and kiss his ass just because he plays ball".... Well right after that a white chicks and her friends (some male) came up to him say oh my god I know who you are, you are so cool, come to our table and have some drinks with us..
Next thing he knew it they were all fiends and he was dating one of the girls, one is now his current wife of 15 years..
But then again out of all the people on that team only three of them dated white chicks and none dated white chicks exclusively...
Also I know for a fact that many black men feel they have to hide their brains or dumb down their shit, in order to be accepted in the black community, many of them choose to shut up, renaming silent and gravitating away from people who cannot relate with them.. I've live both sides of the fence and understand how this dichotomy works and how words like pussy, coon, sell out, punk, bitch ass can be used to bring down blacks who do not talk, walk or even walk the way some want to them to.. I think many of these people sometimes seek refuge in people who think like them and many of these people happen to be white.
I think this may answer to the majority of white sounding blacks who seem to date white, where's by the problem isn't so much they like white people but rather they do not connect to what they consider the black community to be.
Its sort of like not believing in god but living in a religious family, normally your not going to tell your loved ones your true beliefs, instead you will be quiet, put up with the bullshit and spend your quality of time with people who believe in the same philosophy as yourself.
As I've gotten older and wiser I started realizing the role that name calling and dissing others different than us plays in the feeling of being ostracized by many, and how this alienation sometimes pushes them towards the arms of white women and away from identifying with black culture. What makes things worse is that many of these black men are intelligent, talented and potentially have a lot to offer the black community.
My advice for black women who want to date successful black men is, don't get caught up in trying to be hip or run with the crowd, make yourself interesting be more than a person who likes to shop and look good, be intelligent (not educated and trained but intelligent. being logical and a free thinker), don't expect religion to give you any brownie points to many intelligent men religion is what you give to stupid people to stay good similar to how Santa is to kids to also stay in line, and most important don't have any kids this is important because when a man becomes successful (especially a black man) the table is sort of turned where there are more women going hard after that man and like women in that same situation he often would gravitate towards the one who has the most to offer, best looks and the one with the less baggage.. And as I pointed out before often white women would have a leg up, due to the fact that most big Universities where successful men derive from are filled with white women seeking
