Yeah, I know it's getting bad for Gunn because you liked him and defended him when I went at him some time ago. Was it the Gal Gadot shit that was the final straw for you? Or was it that we know that he is the one pushing all the reshoots(Which cost a lot of bread) for Aquaman 2, but it's not his movie(but his paws now all on it)? Or perhaps it's that he wants to eat his cake and have it to with the Blue Beetle(he is ONLY doing this because of the latino play)?

Man, people change. Sometimes, adversity just exposes them and we think it's change. Other times they might have been propped up by unseen forces(people in the background) we don't know about. Gunn just fucking up way too much lately. WAY TOO MUCH. Like he picked up a coke habit or some shit. The fuckups are mind boggling.
James Gunn has an affinity towards goofy,cornball characters, this works fine with the Guardians where he was forced to reel it back some. But in the DCU he has no restraints so don't be surprised if he makes a super dog movie with super babies and cats.

When will they learn? A warmed-over script that we've seen countless times before and mediocre actors. Sarandon who can be brilliant sleepwalked through it and there was nobody else with the chops to hang the movie on.

I saw it the other day on a cam rip. It wasn't a good rip because the visuals was blurry and in the beginning the uoloader kept putting the camera down because I guess he was about to get caught. I was barely in it because I was half asleep. What I got from it was okay story good visuals. Pacing was stretched out a bit. My only problem was I didn't like the dynamic between beetle and the red carapace bad guy. The fights wasn't impressive and it was one sided for the most part beetle got his ass kicked understandidly though because he was still learning his powers. Also I wish the scarab was evil like in young justice. I haven't read much like beetle comics but from what I know about beetle in young justice the scarab had a violent malicious nature and it was constantly telling Jaime to kill bad guys or solve problems thought the most violent extremes. The scarabs evil nature was lifted in the later seasons and Jaime had control. I also wish they did a flashback with ted kord as blue beetle. Seeing archi e pictures and news paper clippings was a nice tough and some of his best Jaime's sister was tamepring with looked interesting. My cam rip didn't have post credit scenes so on YouTube they're saying he's still alive . Maybe dcu will get that blue beetle /booster gold buddy cop comedy team up. I give it a 7.

I watched all the action scenes again on my phone and seeing them again wide awake they were pretty good . It's a solid superhero origin story movie . I give it an 8 fuck the haters. I can smell the mcu stan on y'all's breath.
Met those bullsh*t projections like I said it would.

The first half was slow as fuck.
Plot holes left and right. Billionaire women ain't giving out numbers to wait staff.

The last 30 minutes were pretty good. The better suit was dope, and the CGI was pretty good. Most of the actors were pretty poor. George Lucas saved the movie, even if his out of nowhere engineering, piloting and programming skills were ridiculous.
They stole quite a few scenes from Black Panther (father to son speech ....).
