Solid casting for superman. Like I said in the superman thread, it's just up to Gunn to give the audience what they want. He basically has a clear lane to the hoop on this one, especially with the casting so far. Don't fuck it up by doing something dumb(Disney-like). The word-of-mouth will be epic if he just focuses on story and staying true to characters as we know them.

And yeah, seems like he wants the latino actor(the guy is solid) and is letting it be known this ain't his film(stand alone) . :lol:

Cause EVERY studio could draft a laundry list of excuses of below expectations number.

I can already tell you that the crowd is gonna be an issue and not in a good way. Damn near every seat was available when I was ordering my tickets for the 6pm show. For that to be the case for a summer movie is a telling sign. I think the movie will tank cuz of ppl having no faith in DC/WB movies after the last few atrocious releases.

I've been hearing this is being looked at as what Iron Man did for the MCU in being the foundation for their universe and I really hope this is successful in accomplishing that. However, I get the feeling this will probably end up being one of those movies that gets more accolades post box-office than while it's in theaters.

I just checked at the regal and AMC near me. Seats WIDE THE FUCK OPEN. For EVERY SHOWTIME.I’m going to check it out because I have regal unlimited but I’m not expecting much.. Even Mexicans ain’t supporting this bullshit.

Gunn killed all the remaining DECU movies by announcing the DC Reboot...

They should have waited to after the Flash and promoted the Flash as the end of the DCEU...

with Blue Beatle setting up the Reboot...

It's selling out well in small theatres today though.

But damn I feel like if they had committed to this proper it would have done well.

This movie is not dcu. It is still a dceu movie along with Aquaman 2. James Gunn will be keeping the actor for blue beetle in his dcu.

It was.....not horrible. It was a good movie and I didn't feel like I was sitting here waiting for it to end. Good family movie. DC needs to keep this Actor and character around. He's definitely some one that could give more life to their movies. I give it an 8 out of 10. There's 2 end credit scenes.
