1. Why is A'ja Wilson getting flack in the media now? Because she made comments about her not getting enough recognition? She deserves more respect from the casual fan. The combination of the video of her telling Plum about her privilege while watching Beckers and probably that interview she did.
She sounds salty about CC and angel because of their attention. She's just not as exciting to watch as CC. She's got championships and multiple mvps and a statue lol and they cried all year starting in the preseason about her getting the mvp unanimously this year. What more do you want ? Which she is, but she has a right to feel that way. Her team's the two time defending champions going for a third championship and she's a 3-time MVP of the league.
So she deserves and gets the recognition but...
One thing that she doesn't understand is that no matter how good you are, that doesn't mean that people/fans are interested in you or want to see you play.
Examples, the Boston Celtics are the NBA Champions and Jaylen Brown's the Final's MVP.
Does anyone care? Is anyone interested in seeing the Boston Celtics or Jaylen Brown play?
We can even go back to last years champion. Is anyone interested in seeing the Denver Nuggets and Jokic play? Who's also a champion and 3-time MVP.
