I'll agree that their marketing was ass but youtube highlight clips are there is easy to see and dudes STILL largely ignore it. My point all the things dudes claim they want to see is there..shit when it first started out it was on MTV2 if there was opportunity to build support it was when it was on basic cable and satellite and dudes MOCKED it... I made a couple of threads promoting it and cats was all
Ya'll just need to be honest with yourselves and say that with the exception of a few sports...MOST sports you really don't care to see females do and have no interest in no matter how hard or well they play.

The reality is even if they did play above the rim and start dunking like men...it STILL wouldn't move the needle.

Again, you dont know what you are talking about. The league as a whole ensures that no team loses money by having revenue sharing. Thats just with NFL money. The teams individually also have their own local tv deals, sponsorship deals, tickets, merchandise... The league also decides what the salary cap is so its never too much for any team.

once again promotion is everything..no one knew when this shit came on or literally didn’t have enough hilights to drum up an audience.. my interest in baseball literally was rekindle this yr cause of draftkings..I literally bet on baseball every single day thanks to draftkings and me making money off of it.. like I said the sports bettors would probably show more interest in that sport if they knew they could make money off of it.. have you ever heard any grown man bet on a wnba game? I think it's the fact that WNBA players and at least some in the media keep getting on camera and in print talking about how the players don't make enough and should be paid more on par with NBA players.
If they'd stop with that stuff or at least be honest about the reasons and realistic possible solutions, there wouldn't be as much attention and posts.

Starting with a marketable product helps...
...but I don't remember minor league players asking why they aren't making MLB type money. They were talking about literally not making enough money to eat and pay rent (several dudes sharing apartments) if I recall correctly from Real Sports on HBO (or some other show). The minor league money had players making less than minumum wage... and the minor leagues are actually feeders for MLB. I think those salaries have improved a bit since the HBO episode... but still not big money. WNBA players are complaining about making 120K (average WNBA salary).
Now if the women are just wanting a fair share of any profits and the team owners are crying about losing money BUT not opening their books up during negotiations.... that's a problem I can get behind the players on. Owners certainly should be forced to put the actual numbers out there so players can at least ask for realistic pay raises or players can be forced to confront the potential fact that there's not even enough money being made for those types of raises.

You make a good point. The Somerset Patriots play in my area and many of those dudes had other jobs. Damn shame.

You showed men dunking on a fast break, I showed you women dunking on a fast break. If that's what was holding you back then seeing that should've had you buying season tickets.

Seeing 6'8" women dunking weaker than 6'0" dudes isn't really gonna do it. I would think that they can play below the rim and be watchable and viable....but they need to lower their expectations. It's too late to change it now, but when the league started, they tied it to the NBA in a way that had people thinking it was gonna be on par with the NBA.

Dummy.... Compare the 2 fast breaks and there you have the reason I, and the large majority of people don't care for the WNBA(relavence) ... Simple minded mother fuckers need everything typed out for them word for word.
I don't seek them out, but I watch them WHENEVER they pop up in my feed. I actually get surprised by how serious they play sometimes. I really expected 'wrestling-style' bullshit, but I did see some aggressive playing take place... I came for the titty/ass and stayed for the ... well ... the titty/ass.
If they were promoted more I'd probably watch enough to care about more than the titty and ass size and get to know more individual players.
The market says what you're worth and unfortunately salaries in sports have become over inflated
