Your point is pointless.
All art has the right to exist. All of it.
Your problem isn't with its existence but rather its exposure and who consumes it.
Artists don't control that.
That is what I am trying to get you to understand.
Well these artists need to stop degrading themselves just to sell a record.

Sex sells apparently then and that's a damn shame.

Candace when you bring this type of talk to the industry heads without backlash then maybe you will win some of your critics over, but we all know you don't go after the machine without fallout. The real reason the music industry allows the lack of censorship that is not allowed in other artforms is due to the amount of cash it brings in or the potential of their stars to become top end money makers.

There are 3 rappers/producers who are hovering around that billion dollar mark in recent years. Yes, it wasn't all for their music. However, their potential and brand are bigger than some Hollywood lots. I could only see them going for censorship when it somehow financially benefits the upper management/owners for things such as blockbuster movies as Black Panther that caters to a broad family unit of viewers.

Interestingly enough, before Black Panthers the powers that be had concerns about black movies such as Black Panther with positive messages would sell, yet they would have hundreds of those type of movies for different cultures. It says a lot what they think of urban entertainment I guess.

Candace Owens and all of you that agree with her are completely WRONG.
Here's why:
Artists have the ability to create their art but that's it.
I bet practically everybody on this site knows someone who does music or some form of art. There are also many artists on here.
Most of you are not famous. There is no way to make yourself famous.
There has to be a vehicle in place for you to utilize in order for that to happen.
(tv and radio stations, itnernet, record labels, movie studios, etc.)
There is absolutely no way to have major access to said vehicles without major decisions being made and a machine behind you.
You are never going to walk into Warner Bros. and walk out with some kind of deal without there being many discussions on the probable success of you and your product as well as any obstacles you may present.
Every artist that comes out has been vetted for a place that they want filled. This is done by teams of people. Pop music is simple and simple-minded and is meant to lull you into a certain state of mind. Artists are targeted in the major arenas. This is why pop artists are almost always young and attractive.
They know that audiences are different and want different things, so they sell them that. That's why there is a Taylor Swift, a Cardi B., a H.E.R., an Ariana Grande, a Billie Eillish etc. and so on.
I said all of that to say this: None of them got there on their own. No matter what B.S. back stories they have, they all were selected.
Cardi B was selected over others. Nicki is mad but Nicki is aging out. There is a 10 year age difference between them. That's the game.
Over the next few years, Cardi will disappear, too. There is a machine in place and a system and it is never the fault of the artist but rather the fault of the old, rich white heads of these media companies that push whatever is being sold. Cardi would be small potatoes without the machine.
Incidentally, the same machine is also the one that pushes Candace Owens. She is allowed attention.
And don't think for one second that the same machine isn't also driving many of these internet "influencers" and youtube and instagram stars.

The thing is, there are artists that I alluded to above that could easily push out content that could be different than what is rinsing on the air right now. How well it would fare in this environment with the other content is a different story. Of course even they are controlled too if they try to go against the grain that was seeded long ago in Hollywood/Entertainment.

It is kind of embarrassing that a billionaire had to go on a childish tirade against the system to get his own masters last year in Kanye West which goes to show how much of a stranglehold the owners of these businesses have over the artists. Although the biggest influence is the masses who eventually decide the financials by what they support.

Not defending Candace here, btw.

You still have it wrong.
I guess you just can't understand it.
The "powers that be" are the ones who control the output.
You are targeting the artists when they didn't put themselves there.
They did not have the power to do so.
Everyone is not going to just be nice little perfect people. That's unrealistic.
The problem is with who put the artists there, not with what they do.
Who is exposing them to you and yours?

Why can't people get this?

The artists are the ones making the trash degrading songs you can't exclude them.

If they have more respect for themselves they wouldn't make such explicit songs.

There are tens of thousands of artists that have explicit songs out right now. Maybe more.
There is a reason that you know about this one.

Its like you're blaming the bullets that come from a gun instead of the person pulling the trigger.
There will just be a new bullet later this year.
You seem to be good at allowing yourself to be misdirected.
Too bad.

Do these artists think about kids/teens when they make explicit songs? Apparently not, but those are the majority that mimic what's said in those songs. These artists don't give a fuck all they care about is making money and being attention whores.

Don't worry. The powers that be will give you someone else to be mad soon at so you can keep giving them a pass.

Yeah why not, and while we’re at it let me assist you.

If they said “Let me lick your pussy up and down”, then you might have something. But they don’t.

And this isn’t a competition, but I’m my opinion “Wet Ass Pussy” is a bit worse.

Freak me, baby (ah, yeah)
Freak me, baby (mm, just like that)
Freak me, baby (ah, yeah)
Freak me, baby
Let me lick you up and down till you say stop
Let me play with your body, baby, make you real hot
Let me do all the things you want me to do
'Cause tonight, baby, I wanna get freaky with you
Baby, don't you understand
I wanna be your nasty man
I wanna make your body scream
And you will know just what I mean (you know what I mean)
Twenty-four carat gold
To warm the nights when you get cold
I wanna lick you up and down (baby, yeah, baby, yeah)
And then I wanna lay you down, come on silk sing
Let me lick you up and down till you say stop (lick you up and down)
Let me play with your body, baby, make you real hot (let me make you real hot)
Let me do all the things you want me to do (whoa)
'Cause tonight, baby, I wanna get freaky with you
I love the taste of whipped cream (hey)
Spread it on, don't be mean (baby, don't be mean)
You know I can't resist you, girl
I'll fly you all around the world (all around the world, oh, baby)
I wanna see your body drip
Come on let me take a sip (come on, come on, come on, come on)
Take off what you cherish most (come on, come on)
'Cause when I brag, I like to brag and boast (come on, come on, baby)
Let me lick you up and down till you say stop (lick you up and down, oh, baby)
Let me play with your body, baby, make you real hot ((I wanna play with your body, baby)
(I wanna play with your body, girl)
Let me do all the things you want me to do (ah yeah)
'Cause tonight, baby, I wanna get freaky with you
You, you, you, you (oh, you)
You, you, you, you (let me freak you)
You, you, you, you (all of you)
Yeah, come on, come on
You, you, you, you (oh you)
You, you, you, you (let me do you)
'Cause tonight, baby, I wanna get freaky with you
Let me lick you up and down till you say stop (freak me, baby)
Let me play with your body, baby, make you real hot (freak me, baby)

Let me play with your body, baby (up and down), make you real hot
(Let me make you soakin' wet, baby)
Let me do all the things (oh) you want me to do
(I won't play around with your love, baby)

Candace is right. I call the genre slut rap now. Every new female rapper looks like she just left Magic City. Lil Kim at least had some talent. I can watch Megan with the sound off.
Another nigga added to the ban list. I'm canceling these faggots left and right bruh. :smh: You never agree with that coonin' bitch.

I disagree, Candace is no icon, she is not popular amongst the youth like Cardi B is. So songs like WAP is way worse than the things Candace says.
Unless there are empirical data regarding songs like WAP negatively affect the black community more than any black men/women who go on a national right wing news program who sole jobs is to berates put down and demonized our people for the sake of receiving a pay check your claim is incorrect.

Additionally if Candance feels that strongly about it then why go to white media to voice her concerns, why not meet with black leaders of the community keep our matters in house as opposed to crawling up the mans ass on national TV.

Do you hear about people in the Jewish, Italian, Asian etc community airing out their dirty laundry on national TV? No, they have enough sense to keep that mess to themselves it stays in house.

Black people forgot about what our parent told us growing up, about not telling everyone your business.
