Explain why religion doesnt stop black murders, abortions, intoxication, adultery, covetousness, but it forces black people to be forgiving? The narrative doesnt make sense. For what it is worth, I never got the impression the book had that much side story about the other inmates. I assumed the show took liberties when it came to the extra characters.
