Colorado jumps in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings
Collin Ginnan
Deion Sanders and his staff at Colorado made a big splash on Thursday. Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle
Jordan Seaton announced his commitment to
Colorado, and the Buffaloes skyrocketed in the
On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
With the addition of Seaton, Colorado moved from No. 45 to No. 27 in the rankings. The Washington, D.C. native chose the Buffaloes over the likes of Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland, Ohio State and Oregon.
“When I make my decision, one thing that is very important to me is where I live,”
Seaton told On3 about Colorado in November. “You only play football so many days of the year, so I want to be somewhere that I like living. The surroundings at Colorado definitely stand out. When you think of Colorado, you think of buffaloes and mountains. But you can go 15 minutes off campus and there is a big city like I am back home. The whole environment at Colorado is something I like.”
Seaton is the No. 12 overall prospect and No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the
On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 4 player in Florida.
Buffs bolster 2024 class
Seaton is just the latest blue-chip recruit to commit to Sanders and the Buffs. Most recently, Colorado added Statesboro (Ga.) four-star cornerback
Kam Mikell — the No. 88 recruit in the class.
“Coach Prime and his marketing was a big part of my decision,”
Mikell said. “He can really help with my brand. Coach Prime also has played all the sports I have played, he has played both sides of the ball like me and I know he can really help me. He has been in a lot of the situations I have been in, so I believe in him coaching me and helping me develop.”
Additional blue-chips include Calabasas (Calif.) four-star athlete
Aaron Butler and West Bloomfield (Mich.) four-star defensive lineman
Brandon Davis-Swain.
