Wit no biggie ? DisqualifiedAs far as impact, hitmaking, popularity, sells, consistency and longevity?
1. Pac
2. Jay-Z
3. Eminem
4. 50cent
5. Nas
6. Lil Wayne
With his being in tune with the current landscape as they were to theres, he’s phenomenalMaybe I'm just old, but I can only think of one Drake song that bangs. The rest of that shit sounds like it came off someone's Macbook Fruity Loops app.
Facts. How you top 5 with no classic albums?
In a positive way noi have yet to hear a line from Drake that made me go
in a positive way.
Wit no biggie ? Disqualified
Everyone has the right to an opinion. I just look at Pac objectively. He was taken too soon. Only had a legit 4-5 year run. Def not long enough on the longevity. I think Pac’s impact is skewed because of his death. Sure he has hits. But he he also has a lot of filler due to him trying to get the fuck up out of death row. 50 cent also loses that longevity/impact argument. 50’s run was about 4-5 years. Maybe. His last hit I recall was Baby By Me, which was once 10 years ago.
If I was going by your criteria, also in no order
- Jay Z
- Lil Wayne
- LL Cool J
- Drake
- Kanye
I’ll give drake that at this point. He broke the billboard record.Diddy must have been drinking when he had say this!!...
Big
Jay z
Eminem
Drake
Pac
This is after trimming the fat
Never seen Eminem in anyone black top five
and Drake shouldn't be in anyones top five over 30
What is Drake's Illmatic, Chronic, Doggystyle or Blueprint? His classic album that you can tell someone to listen to that doesn't know his music.
I think subject matter is his weakness.Quick question about Eminem. When people usually list him top 5, they’re talking about lyrically. Not that they necessarily listen to him.
When Rakim, Jay z, Black Thought etc list Em as top 5. I doubt that they mean top 5 rappers that they listen to. They’re talking about skill. I can damn near guarantee Ra and Black Thought ain’t listening to no Eminem!
But if one is to talk about lyrically the best rappers ever, if you’re into Hip Hop lyrics and bars. Then Em has to be top 5 whether you listen to him or not.
I don’t listen to Em like that but he is, one of the top rappers of all time. That’s not in question.
And no, I don’t listen to Em. Haven’t in years.
Ask yourself a question, if all of his peers regard him high lyrically. Then why don’t many Hip Hop fans?
I think subject matter is his weakness.
I'm talking about Em.Ok what you’re not gonna do, is make me a Drake cheerleader in this thread!
He talks about women, money, relationships, making it, growing up, belief in himself etc.
If we breakdown some other rappers subject matter, we might be saying the same things.

A lot of people can rap...that doesn't mean they're entertaining or that I want to listen to them
I think J Cole can rap, but I haven't found him entertaining in a long time
His whole existence could disappear and I wouldn't notice.
That’s not saying much, greats have passed and people over time don’t notice. Especially if you never listened to them.
And that’s the key, you don’t want to listen to him.
I don’t want to listen to Eminem either, but I recognize his talent as an MC and rapper. That I can’t deny, whether I want or like listening to him or not.
I listened.. I wouldn't notice.
Not that many rappers have had more hits than Drake.
I can say he can rap, I would never say he can't
But I would never put him in my top 5...10...20....30
Los can rap, I don't necessarily want to listen to Los though.
Mos Def can rap, Lupe can rap, Black Thought can rap, Royce can rap, Phonte can rap, Pharoahe Monch can rap
I listen to dudes who can rap
Eminem says nothing I want to hear nor nothing I can relate to
There's always been one hit wonders. That's fucking meaningless
It's a lot easier to have a hit now
That's some shit chicks say.
drake is the greatest band wagon rider of all time..
as far as rapping, he makes some hitters but he jacks styles so
he has to start somewhere beyond twenty.. like twenty seven...
he is the best MARKETED rapper of all time
with the best TEAM behind him tho
Your last two statements are incorrect, the fans made him.
Drake releases a mixtape, a Mixtape and fans make it chart on Billboard! That’s not marketing, that’s the fans!
MIXTAPES!
