Game Of Thrones: The Sopranos with swords or Dynasty in chainmail?

I've read differently.

I recall reading that HBO executives were at one point trying to convince the show runners to do more seasons but they refused and made it clear they were ending the show in 7 or 8 seasons.

"Stop throwing money in my face, I said I am only making 8 seasons!" Makes sense :dunno:

See my edited post where I posted an article.

It makes perfect sense and happens all the time.

They've spent a decade or more on this show I'm sure they were ready to move on.

And shows like "The Sopranos", "Breaking Bad", etc. all ended at or around a similar number of seasons/episodes though they were still bringing in huge audiences and money.

Tyrion is the worst hand of the queen of all time.

I just knew he was going to catch an arrow trying to negotiate

I think he'd be a solid hand to a solid leader.

She's starting to become unreasonable due to her paranoia and is heading towards that irrational, reactionary style of ruling that makes doing his job impossible.

That muthafucka can't even give good advice to go up against his own sister.

I think the fact that it is his sister is what fucks him up.

For all that talking he isn't as cold as her so I don't think he can make the calculated, difficult decisions that are necessary to defeat her.

Oh ok. Got it. I am so glad someone here understands what I am talking about. It is really odd that no one seems to get it.
There is a different in the quality of the writing and over all dialogue.

Sarcasm, this season has some shitty writing. Look at the Night King, he was the big bad from the first episode yet he shows up in the last episode for 5 minutes of screen time and dies and that's it for his story line.

I dont understand your question.

Robert didn't make Ned the KING. He made him a temporary King until Joffery comes of age.

Ned was going to expose Joffery as not being the true heir and make Stannis the king.

So if Robert Baratheon had never made Ned Stark king, Ned was still going to go into the court and demand the throne and arrest cersei. Because he found out their parantage.

Or would he have went back to Winterfell and minded his own business?

One during a war against the warring faction, and at the immediate threat of being burned to a crisp. Nothing alike.

Oneliterally in the middle of a war for the sole purpose of stopping his entire realm from being murdered in real time. Nothing alike.

One under the threat of death to himself and his entire lineage and all subjects. Nothing alike.

One knew they were at war against the threatening party. Nothing alike.

One thought they were sending their newly crowned King to seek an alliance for a looming conflict. Nothing alike.

Oh, and by the way, if my aunt had balls, she would most definitely be my uncle.

Hmmm...

Parallel does not equal identical.

This coming from the same guy who tried to argue that monarchy and slavery are the same.

You obviously chose to troll your way out of the fact that you dont know Westeros history.

The lords of the North chose to make Jon king but they didnt want a monarchy lmao!

Sorry some of us know what we are talking about.

I actually think Messandai saying Dracays was very powerful and somehow should have ended the episode.
Of course I didn't want her to die cause she is so fucking fine. I also wanted her and Sansa to have it out. Damn.

True, that was a huge flaw in their writing and presentation in this episode.

The last few seasons have had shitty writing it's just getting worse each episode. There was so much dumb shit in this last episode it was beyond comical.

True. But when you offer it as analogous for purposes of defending your stance in a betrayal argument it doesnt jive.

Either way, we going in circles at this point. We just dont see it the same. Thats fine.

Never once said this. Feel free to re-read my posts. They are still up.

"Troll" has become the go to phrase for cats who lack the vocabulary to express counters to dissenting opinions. You sound like a imbecile. And i clearly admitted i wasnt an expert on Westeros history.. right before i showed you that you were full of shit on it yourself. Again, feel free to re-read those posts.

Anyone think that maybe Varys leaked dany’s plans about going to dragonstone to euron/cersei? How does euron know where to be to ambush Dany? The attack follows Varys saying he would do anything for the realm basically and implying he would be willing to commit treason in getting rid of Dany. Someway. Somehow.

Just fast forwarding plot probably. Not outside of the imagination that Dany would have to sail back to Dragonstone before starting the war. Not outside the imagination that Cersei had scouts to tell her the result of the war as it was VERY important to know what to plan for next.

Dragons.... or death.

I think so too. I think there is def a leak and info is being given to Cersei.

Yes. He did. Varys set it up with him. In exchange for spying on Dany, Jorah was to be allowed to return to Westeros. He was exiled for selling slaves.
Ned Stark wanted him dead for it. The North was anti slavery.

Wasn't it Varys that originally set Jorah up to spy on Dani

It's real
All his moves have been the right ones when shes listened

Just not when it comes to cersei

Almost all of his moves have had to do with Cersei since they been back in Westeros.

Since he is 0 for against Cersei he cannot possibly be anywhere close to .500.

Not saying you specifically but Im starting to see a pattern where if Dany makes a mistake she is unworthy and if her advisors make mistakes.... They are just mistakes.

Dany is unworthy not because of mistakes. It’s because of her other ways. Maybe you’re looking for patterns?
