Well that's basically what I tried to say. She was always mentally unstable. Mentally unstable doesn't mean insane. Repeated L's and feeling isolated, betrayed and alone pushed her over the edge.
Look at these school shooters. They aren't walking around screaming they gonna kill everyone or banging their heads against wall, but they are already unwell mentally. It just takes enough negative reinforcement and triggers to push them into action
again, this is something else that was told in earlier seasons.
the dude likes killing and raping for the sport of it. its why him and the poison dude fought in the first place. because the mountain killed and raped the poison dudes family.
people have forgotten major parts of the previous seasons.
It would be interesting to see why he became paranoid from HIS PERSPECTIVE. It may be that he was just like Dany and was Betrayed and did take legitimate L's and was just not mentally strong enough to handle it.
Which again goes back to the point GRRM tries to make that the minute you allow someone to rule you just because who their parents are you're in for a world of trouble.

Maybe it's due to binge watching. when you binge watch you don't catch everything. Many of us have been watching from day 1. We watch and then discuss it throughout the week and maybe watch it again. During these discussions and reviews people point out things you may have missed. As a result you have a better perspective then someone who binged watch the show within a few weeks.

I hate this rewrite. Joffrey cut off Ned’s head. Tywin organized Robb and Catelyn’s deaths. People get so fixated on Cersei that they make up shit. Cersei isn’t interested in blowing herself up. She is interested in protecting herself and her children. End of. Makes zero sense for her to be going to light wildfire.
Arya killing Cersei would have been more satisfying than her killing the Night King.

In fact y’all remember when Tywin fucked Cersei up? Tywin said she doesn’t think things through and she believes she is smarter than everyone else. Saw that in this episode as well. When I see that scene all I can think is why didn't Messandei throw her arms around Cersei's head and just take a full gainer off the wall. It would have been a lot more useful than saying "Dragon Fire"

I think people would see if they rewatched it. Tyrion and Varys spent so many scenes over the last two seasons selling Dany on the idea that following her impulses and just burning the city would end up destroying her and turning her into everything she claimed she despised.
She tried to give Cersei a chance to lay down first. Cersei wanted all the smoke.
