We know why the Hound hates his brother, but why does the Mountain hate the Hound so much? The Mountain was the golden child of the family so its not jealousy so why?
From what I've seen. The mountain is just evil. On the Blu-ray extras. The mountain is suspected to have killed his sister, father and servants in their castle.

Are you an idiot of just pretending to be one?

First you tell me that a ship can't ambush a dragon and now you tell me (admit) that they were hiding in wait behind a fucking cliff for a unsuspecting target they knew was coming.

Hey muthafucka , that's an ambush!!!

Do you not see how you are debunking your own claims!!??
I'll repeat: "it is impossible for a ship to ambush anything flying - with a line of sight weapon especially on a clear day"

line of sight means you need to see your target in order for the weapon to be accurate or even function...

at full sail - how can one see a target from behind a cliff?

and then - how can one shoot arrows around corners?

If Dany cant see the fleet they should not be able to see her or able send arrows at the dragons

If the fleet can see and fire at Dany - she should have seen them long before being with in range - the editing of the scene had Dany unable to see the fleet until they sail from behind the cliff - this was after multiple ballista strikes

impossible

I guess you have faith that Iron Fleet has fire and forget technology or GRRM introduced heat seeking ballista tips and radar to Westeros

They had strategic position with land mass as natural cover.

She came into line of sight once she passed the cliff. They were lying in wait with a fleet of scorpions drawn and aimed skyward. Once she came into sight they fired dozens and 3 hit a broadside unsuspecting target. Why are you making this so much more complicated than it is? Weird.

thats not how the scene was edited

Rhegal was downed and Dany dodged incoming and still couldn't see the fleet - until they came around the cliff

That is not line of sight - especially with elevated position on a clear day

Ballistas do not make turns

Now we're talking about scene editing?

Vicious, the scene was edited to illustrate that they were hiding behind a cliff awaiting her Dragons bro.

When Rhegal gets hit, Danys pans left, sees fleet and maneuvers. The camera then pans to purposely show the cliff as cover.

Hey man, I'm done arguing this point brother. This is crazy. We can just disagree.

I think people are getting caught up on the word "Mad". Dany wasnt insane or anything but she was mentally "unstable" for a good while.

It worked for her over in Essos because every seemingly unstable action she took worked out for her positively.

Walk into a fire and die with your Husband : Gain 3 Dragons

Reneg on deal and Burn Slave master: Gain thousands of soldiers.

Go in and undue the slave economy of a whole country: Gain an entire city to rule

Burn up a bunch of Khals instead of just leaving with Jorah and Dario : Gain all of the Dothraki as followers.

Then she gets to Westeros ...

Goes against her lifelong desire to regain the throne and does the honorable thing to help defeat the greater threat. The result?

1. She loses half her forces and a dragon and most of her "allies" are actively conspiring against her.

2. She learns she's not first in line to Throne shes been after half her life.

3. She loses all her truly loyal companions

4. She loses yet another dragon

5. Now even her closest remaining advisors are actively conspiring against her.

6. The last man she actually loved basically rejects her physically.

So no she didnt go Mad. She was a mentally unstable person who took too many Ls in a row.

Were the actions she took excessive and overkill? Probably but they are not totally inconsistent with her previous actions and words. She said in the same episode that She was prepared to liberate future generations not the current one.

In her own head she was hearing Mike Ehrmentrauts speech from Breaking Bad. No Half Measures this time.

No Half Measures

In real life people take loses,

Sometimes plenty. They dont go out

And murder innocent people, unless

There is a mental health issue.

When the most peaceful person on the whole show (Missandei) said “Dracarys” last week... what did you think she meant by that??

Personally, I thought she meant: “Burn this whole bitch to the ground & start over. Fuck all these ungrateful dickheads.”

And that’s exactly what Dany did.

When Lady Olenna told Dany: “The Lords of Westeros are sheep... are you a sheep? No. You’re a Dragon. BE a Dragon.”... what did you think she meant by that??

Personally, I thought she meant: “Burn this whole bitch to the ground & start over. Fuck all these ungrateful dickheads.”

And that’s exactly what Dany did.

i don't know why people are missing this easy shit. especially missandei.

I’m trying to understand why Kats are making excuses for lazy writing. Great shows can have shitty seasons and rushed endings. I’ve been quiet this entire season... I just wanted to sit back and watch but as I watched last nights show... I kept saying that.. this doesn’t make sense. That this is rushed... the show really needed a 10 episode final season.

Its tv!

That doesn't have to make sense!

Even in your mind, if you want it to

It doesn't have to! Why is it so hard

For people to understand this. Just

Let it be what it is.

He never came to winterfell to break from Cersei. He said “I took an oath to fight for the living, and I intend to keep it”. He never said he was done with Cersei. And once the war against the dead was over, he was always going back.

That poster is retarded!

what sights are you talking about?

THEY WERE BEHIND A FUCKING CLIFF!

just look at this horseshit:

At Least now I understand why you are oblivious to words "line of sight"

even in your false scenario - in open ocean Dany should see the fleet long before they can enter weapons range

Dude this shit is exactly like the Flat earth thread... niggas are going out of their way to create logic from illogic ...

Real talk...mufuckas crying and complaining about every single thing. Misunderstanding the most basic shit, clearly not paying attention.

Its like watching a film with some dumbass who constantly talks or checks their phone, and then asks you questions about who a certain character is, or what are they doing etc. When if they just paid attention they would know their fucking selves

Yup I'm here to laugh at it

This is supposedly the same Dany who locked up her dragons cause Drogon killed one innocent child. She also stopped the Dothraki from raping women in a village (which led to getting Khal Drogo killed). She also was in a mission to eliminate slavery in slavers bay. She always had fire and payback for those who were against her, but she always seen her subjects as like her children per say.

I can see if she burned the red keep to the ground and set off wildfire in the process. Or even if she was sweeping the streets aiming at Lannister soldiers and killed alot of innocents in the process. But her sweeping the streets intentionally killing innocent people is dumb and lazy writing IMO. It doesn't fit her MO.

This was years ago it's like y'all stopped paying attention to her

After that she locked a nigga up in a dungeon for eternity

Burned Sam's parents

Refused to fight for mankind without unquestioned loyalty to her

This guys a fanboy moron bro. He starts off admitting Danys turn has been set up for seasons then goes and rants about her going mad. And to complain about Varys betrayal and Tyrion being the one to inform on him is further nonsense.. Both of those reveals were predictable and in alignment with character build. Varys death was foretold the day he signed up with Danys. She told him "you switch sides too much. i will kill you if you pull that shit on me".

The source of most complaints really lies in fan disappointment that expectations of happy endings and character redemption have been snuffed out. Hes mad that Jamie went back to Cersi... when the ENTIRE show has been about him siding with her at all cost. The guy fucks his twin sister and pushed a kid off a building.

Cats are mad they are wrong and now call it bad writing cause they were watching something some of us were not

I'm about to put @fonzerrillii on ignore until the next Fappening hits. This is ridiculous.

Man I love this show... have you ever seen me bash this show in this thread....

I’m always the one that tries to find reason in shit... the guy that looks at both sides to find an answer..

If I’m up here saying shit doesn’t make sense.. it’s cause shit doesn’t make sense and I’ve been quiet all season

I have hardly said shit in this thread.

But last nights episode took some illogical leaps... to get us to rush us to this point ...

Again.. I’ve got no problem with Dany becoming the mad queen.. no problem with that.. we saw it coming when we found out who Jon was...

But they way they took us to this point makes no sense...

..... the writers are so focused on setting up the action that they skipping through shit.

And I’m tripping out that we have people completely cool with this...

The crazy part is that there is no reason for this to be rushed.. HBO didn’t tell the directors that the last two seasons needed to be shortened. I thought that was the case but I just read on IGN that this is what the creators wanted.. they wanted two shortened seasons.

There is a lot in the episode that’s bullshit. Mad queen isn’t one of them. I don’t see a lot dudes in here defending the episode. I see dudes in here telling you that they have seen the clues of this for years and you denying it and saying it was a complete 180 snap and that’s why the episode sucks.

I mean there were people in this thread before the episode even aired saying Daenerys was about to go mad queen.
I did. I thought it was good.

That's all it is

They trusted her and can't accept she was always a villain

Get over it.
.

The bitches cause and claim to the throne was a villains origin story to begin with

But ignored it lmaoooo

How was this an ambush... they were told at Winterfell that the Iron Fleet was there. Everyone knew the iron fleet was there.......

The only thing she didn’t expect was the scorpions and that was dumb since Cersi’s men used scorpions against Dany just last season.

So to have her go into a battle not expecting Cersi to have given the one weapon proven capable of taking out a dragon is stupid and doesn’t make sense when you think about all the other battles that she went into with some kind of plan.

A dude told me I looked at fan theories and then I got lucky lol

We're in a bad place
Ppl can't even accept a fantasy character was always evil lol

She wasn't evil and still is not, that's not how the show works. All characters are well rounded, not stereotypical archetypes that go as far as 'mustache twirling bad guy' and 'goody goody do gooder'
Thats why people liked the show. Now it has devolved into that

realy the first instance of this was technically Brienne killing the Hound, and then them bringing him back cause of fan armor

Hey let me tell you a story

20 years ago there was a king who became increasingly paranoid
He started wars fueled by it
Starting murdering advisors due to it
Actually decided to burn the entire city because of it but he was stopped by someone who disobeyed that order
2 of his children escaped
The revolt against him was successful
Ppl who wanted to throne came and attacked but we defended them
But now one of his children that escaped is grown and has amassed the biggest army ever seen
She even has full grown dragons and she feels the kingdom is rightfully hers even though her father was mad and tried to kill everyone
She's on her way here with her army and dragons to take back the iron throne

Hero or villain?

She was always the villain.
She's just a villain with depth we saw her rise to power
So ppl rooted for her tho her claim and cause was bullshit from jump.

How when she was literally a hero up until now??? Your getting 'villain' mixed up with 'antagonist'. She was never neither up until now. If they were smart they would just make her the antagonist, instead of forcing her to be a villain.

villain
[ vil-uhn ]

noun
a cruelly malicious person who is involved in or devoted to wickedness or crime; scoundrel.
a character in a play, novel, or the like, who constitutes an important evil agency in the plot.

How is Dany that /\/\ except for episode 5 and beyond?

Visually Stunning!!!

But hampered by lazy writing, by forcibly speeding things up. If there was anyone who Dany should have killed first, it should have been Jon (though the love was still there at that point. So it wouldn't have made much sense) or Tyrion, who can't let go of his spy traits. I just didn't find it believable that Varys had the support of anyone to even plot an overthrow. It was his belief. But I doubt he would have even acted on it.

And don't get me started on that White Horse. All I kept thinking about was all those early 80s music videos by Brit New Wave/Romantic bands.

Said this before ....the writing has fallen off without the backing of the books....the season is being rushed because everybody wants to move on....but everybody already knew this going into this season so why are so many going so hard on the critiques?...this season has been very entertaining even with all the deficiencies...Dany's transition to madness was rushed but we knew it would be....yeah cuss the writers but the on and on shit is too fucking repetitive at this point

I think Cersei is still alive for some reason ...looks like Jon will end up king as there would be no reason for an episode 6 if Dany wasn't getting fucked up....still think Tyrion will die

Contrary to what some on here think, I think Jaime's return to Cersei was very realistic...rough looking dude loves chick who only has eyes for the pretty boy superstar who is secretly simping on another chick (GoT wrinkle is it's his sister) and runs back to her the first time he realizes she about to get fucked up....Jaime aint block shit from Tormund, Brienne was always his pussy but he loves another...yall cant complain about a show becoming formulaic and then get mad when it shows some realistic shit

No semantics, just having an honest exchange of ideas. Not tryna piss no one off or even change minds, just presenting how I viewed it in opposition to how others viewed the same thing. I don't see how she unraveled.. She's been calm cool and collected until this season. There's nothing her character had done that any of the other characters wouldn't have.
The writers are creating a narrative that did not exist until just right now so they can rush the show to it's end.
She showed not one sign of being nuts until the bell scene. I've watched EVERY episode, she is actually the nicest character of all the rulers, including Jon Snow..
