Goddamn gas prices

I know its not much, but anything helps. Does anyone here use the Getupside app?

between getupside, and shell fuel rewards, Im usually getting 20-25cents off per gallon everytime I fill up. I fill up about 1.5 times a week

I used to use Get Upside but I didnt think it was worth it for the Gas Stations that were eligible for it...i might sign up for shell fuel rewards..

I've had to get a little creative...because I like saving money.

Shell let's you link your rewards card with other stores like Dunkin to get extra points. I drink 1 coffee a day so those add up.

Getupside is kinda scammy that you make out big the first time...like 40cents off per gallon, then it's 5 or 6 cents each time after. It does work though

I been using upside before shit got popular lmaoo.. NYC I use to get 20-25 cents a gal and on occasions 30 cents a gal.. Now I’m lucky if I get 10-15 cents a gal.. I don’t even bother anymore

Was listening to the news earlier on the radio.

It’s looking like the National average of gasoline will be hitting $5/gal before months end going into Memorial Day.

And possibly peaking around $6/gal nationally around the 4th of July or mid summer.

When Vancouver reached $2.339 / L last week ... that's the equivalent of 2.34 x 3.78

8.8452 per gallon

Just terrible (and they tax the fuck outta gas here too)

Diesel is averaging about a buck more than regular in majority places.

Diesel will be probably hit around $7/gal this summer.

Folks gotta realize that everything you purchase got delivered by a truck. Shippers, Receivers and trucking companies are gonna offset the cost of fuel/transport to the consumer….which means increase in prices.

I posted pictures earlier in the thread showing how much I pumped in Diesel into my 2022 FreightLiner. The shit ain’t cheap.

Been paying over $5 out here in Cali

Premium is $7 here already . These gas companies need to be destroyed for this shit

National average is around $4.52/gal. right now.

So if the national avg. hits $5/gal Memorial Day, do the math on how much your price will go up.

And if the national avg. hits $6/gal in July, do the math on how much your price will go up.

You cats might be hitting double digits this summer. They might have to design new signage to fit the numbers.

Bruh there's a gas station in Palo Alto already at $7 and people are buying lmao.
I get gas at Costco so it's like 5.70 but most places are over $6 in the Bay Area.

I use GasBuddy as an app to show me the lowest and go from there. I also don’t drive for the hell of it anymore. Plan my trips and that’s that! I also agree, no need for the whining, things could and possibly will get worse!

You thinking small.

I’m a OTR driver, for the past year with these rising fuel prices, my company hasn’t sent out not one message or information about saving fuel, fuel management or reduce idling.

The reason is they don’t give two fucks about how much the price is. That’s cuz like I pointed out earlier, companies like mine along with these shippers and receivers fall under the corporate tax rules.

Which means they can write it all off on their quarterly taxes along with passing the cost off to the consumer.

No different than you at your job going to the company bathroom, wash your hands in the sink and dry them with the paper towels. The water bill, the cost of the paper towels they can deduct off their taxes.

At your home, can you do that? The answer is No.

For the past year, my company has just been giving us raises like crazy and increasing our bonus’s.

That shows you these companies got money to burn unlike regular folks out here struggling to make it day by day.

I just traded my VW Passat Tdi (diesel) in on Sat, I do a lot of driving & the wild fluctuation in diesel prices was starting to hit my pockets hard. Down near my parents in MD it's around $4.59-5 I go to other parts of the area & it's 6+. And I have to go to Pa & that shit hits 5.95 or well over 6

I gas up at Costco exclusively now. First thing Saturday mornings. I hardly need to drive, work from home and got Marta if I go to the office. Just drive for groceries or to see friends.

One to two tanks of gas lasts me a month.
